20.01.2022 It is with great sadness that we announce we have lost a great member of our club. John "Jack" Grenfell passed away peacefully on the 22/7/19. An absolute character and larrakin. But also a true gentleman. Our thoughts are with Carol and the family at this difficult time. Rip Jack.

09.01.2022 Dog of the Week...PEACHES Life will be peachy with Peaches by your side.this dog is one gorgeous peach!!! Our beautiful gal Peaches, what a journey our h...appy girl has been on. It’s been over 3 months since we first met this amazing and incredible dog. Peaches came to us in need of a fresh start and had a sore leg that needed some TLC and vet care. You may have noticed that our sweet as Peaches is a three legged dog. Three legs is a new thing for Peaches. It’s been just 3 weeks since Peaches had to have her big surgery to remove her front leg which was causing her pain and discomfort, and very sadly was beyond being fixable. But in true Peaches style, she is totally unfussed and is getting around like an absolute champion with a big smile on her perfect pretty face. Peaches spent over 2 weeks with our friends at Sylvania Veterinary Hospital recovering, being spoilt and making a heap of new besties. Thanks to our amazing vet for taking such wonderful care of our special girl. And a very special thank you to one of our wonderful and incredibly generous volunteers who arranged for Peaches to stay at our vet a little longer so she was fully recovered before returning to the shelter. Peaches has a bunch of guardian angels who she will be forever grateful for. Peaches also has a celebrity status, about a month ago Peaches joined us for our TV debut on Studio 10. She was perfectly behaved, had a ball and stole lots of love and kisses from everyone that she met. There is a whole lot more to this super dog than her 3 legs. Peaches is honestly a ray of sunshine who always makes you smile. The love and adoration that Peaches has for everyone she meets is something pretty incredible. Peaches is a lover through and through and is happiest when she is being cuddled and smothered in affection. She is Peaches the people’s princess. Being just a baby at almost 2 years of age, Peaches loves to have fun and adventure. She is playful, cheeky, funny and always a ball of fun. She enjoys her daily walks with the shelter volunteers, but we know that it’s those cuddles that she craves the most, such a big sook! What Peaches is looking for in a home.Love, stability and fur-ever. Peaches is looking for family life where she will be smothered in attention and be your number one girl. She will be happy in a home with older children, but will be not suitable for a home with small children as they can make her a little unsure at times. Peaches has the world at her paws and looks forward to fun adventures and walks with her people, outings so she can explore the world and plenty of cuddles on the lounge (couch potato Peaches). Peaches loves to cuddle you and she gives the best cuddles ever, even with just 3 legs. Peaches would love to further her education and would highly benefit from further professional dog training so she can succeed in life and be the best dog that she can be. We could say a million wonderful things about this dog that has stolen all of our hearts. There is no love like Peaches love. After 3 months of shelter life and everything that our brave and courageous lady has been through, Peaches deserves nothing but the best that life can offer to a beautiful, cuddly, funny 3 legged dog. Peaches is a female, American Staffordshire Terrier cross who is almost 2 years of age. Peaches has been at the shelter since 30/09/2019. The adoption fee for Peaches is $309.00. This includes microchip, lifetime registration, de-sexing, vet check and vaccination, worm and flea treated and collar and Council tag. Organisation Rehoming Numbers R251000199 and R251000200.
