17.01.2022 We have been planting creeping saltbush and Karkalla from @bush_to_bowl in our garden - native plants and bush foods excite us and we hope to continue to work to incorporate them within our menu so that they can excite you too We wanted to talk about them this week in particular as it is @naidocweek , a week dedicated to celebrating the indiginous culture of our country - although it is something we should celebrate ALL the time. This year's theme ‘Always Was, Always Wil...l Be’, acknowledges that hundreds of Nations and our cultures covered this continent. All were managing the land - the biggest estate on earth - to sustainably provide for their future. We should learn from the true history of this country, as our land was cared for better then, than it is now. There is so much more that we could be doing to educate ourselves on how to live sustainably, as First Nations people did.
