25.01.2022 As the situation nationally and internationally unfolds we are doing our best to make sure you can still get access to our broad selection of books, as we truely believe that books are things that can transport and reassure us through tough times. At this time we will be changing the opening hours of our store to 9.30am - 7pm, Monday to Sunday. You can still come in and ask our lovely staff to recommend you a book (or two), or if you can’t make it in store, ask us over the phone! We are happy to take phone orders/payment and we can organise to have your books delivered to your door. To leave you with something our staff like to say, ‘Keep calm and carry on reading!’

12.01.2022 Dear family, friends and loyal customers, With the current situation, we felt it was necessary to give you an update on what is going on at Berkelouw Books Paddington. We are still very much open for business and would like to assure you that the wellbeing and health of our customers and staff is always an absolute priority.... All of our employees have been trained to maintain the highest possible hygiene standards, and we are washing our hands and cleaning our public spaces. In addition we have decided to suspend all our major Author Events for the foreseeable future, and we will be watching closely how this situation unfolds in the next few days and weeks. So for now, just know that our shop is open as usual, ready to nourish and entertain you. We strongly believe in the power of books to guide us during testing times. We encourage you to visit us, as social distancing can occur in the bookshop. However for those who cannot, we are making some exciting changes so you can access us more easily from the comfort of your home. Our hours have changed to 9.30am - 8pm but that will not stop our enthusiastic staff from helping you find the perfect book. If you are unable to visit us in store, we are always happy help over the phone or on social media as well and post the book to you. Books are all-natural anxiety busters, so stay tuned for ways in which we will strive to bring them to you still. 08.01.2022 ***POSTPONED*** With heavy hearts, we have had to make the decision to postpone all author events until further notice. While so excited about the opportunities these events offered, we feel it's important to prioritise the health and wellbeing of all involved - the publishers, the authors, our booksellers and you, our customers. We will continue to monitor the situation and will be in discussions about how best to revisit the event concepts in the future.
