25.01.2022 Members of NSW Marine Rescue, Bermagui utilised our Shed site this morning for a training session with their Resquemax Line Launcher. A great bit of kit that is compressed air operated and can fling a line up to about150m, depending on the use of the light or heavier line. Hopefully it won’t be ever needed in anger. Unit boss Carron Parfitt and instructor Volker Aebischer did a great job.

25.01.2022 Our new steel dust extraction is up and running ( or should that be sucking?) There is still some fettling to do to finish the installation but it’s nearly there.

22.01.2022 Packing up after the fun bit..

21.01.2022 The tools are in, the machines are in, a good portion of the Shed is now powered, the dust extractor fan shed is being built, and new work benches are being made. All in all the progress has been great. All the members are socially distancing and the urn is running flat out.... Well done team!

18.01.2022 Volker shows how it’s done.

16.01.2022 I paid the Men’s Shed in Kingston S E in South Australia a visit this morning. Another small shed with only a handful of members but a good range of equipment to play with. A nice bunch of blokes. The Shed is located in a heritage listed old school building.

14.01.2022 Linda has a go using the manual method.

12.01.2022 Up she goes. Thanks for the photo Phil.

08.01.2022 It even has an inside.

06.01.2022 Hooray! We have walls.

06.01.2022 It’s starting to look like a shed and even has a sign and a street address. Thanks again for the photos Phil.

05.01.2022 Today I paid a visit to Balranald Men’s Shed in SW, NSW. At the minute they only have four active members but an enormous range of machinery and a built in shop for selling finished goods. Being only 50m from the visitor information centre is an advantage for this.

03.01.2022 It’s finished!!!! All we have to do now is move in and have it wired and plumbed. Next Thursday will be the first day for members to attend and start the fine tuning.

03.01.2022 Today our new ride-on mower was officially handed over to our president, Phil Baldwin, by Rob and Sarah from Bermagui Country Club. The mower was funded by Bermagui Country Club, club grant scheme. Thank you very much from all the members of the Shed.

03.01.2022 Shed building is finished and the moving in has started so we know where the electrical wires need to go. Open for business from next Thursday.
