02.01.2022 Hi all, After we received some verbal abuse last night for closing early due to being sold out unexpectedly we feel the need to explain our situation. We feel nobody deserves to be treated with such disrespect for simply closing early. We also want to thank the kind stranger who stood up for us, what an amazing person we can’t say thank you enough. This year has been rough and so many of our friends, neighbours and fellow small businesses lost everything to the bushfires an...d we think that not being able to pick up a pizza on your way home is a pretty good problem to have. Last night we were yelled at because apparently it’s people like us that don’t deserve any help from the government (not that we have to explain this but we haven’t actually received any help, not even post bushfires despite losing the busiest weeks of the year & we are not the only ones). What you see in the media does not apply to everybody. We are a tiny business owned and operated by mother & daughter. We are very aware we are understaffed but chose to be this way as we did not want to put anyone else’s health at risk by having them working in the shop. We apologise that this means wait times are long & sometimes all our services cannot be offered. Despite both having underlying health issues we chose to stay open in support of the town & the coast. We also have a few more rules than some other businesses about entering the shop but please know they’re nothing personal but that we’ve chosen to keep these rules in place to keep ourselves and others safe. Every business has chosen to do what they feel is best for them. We are all just doing the best we can given the circumstances. COVID-19 has been a tough situation to navigate but we thank everybody that has listened, understood and respected us & our decisions.
