18.01.2022 In September I worked with a local Indigenous owned and operated business, Visual Dreaming, to create an animation that was to be played during their App Launch Event. The app is designed to assist people with connecting with their community and culture in an Indigenous approach to mental health solutions. It does this by assisting with goal setting and working with your "Dream Team" that could consist of family, friends, co-workers, mentors or trusted health care workers. Fo...r my information please visit their website at https://www.visualdreaming.com.au/ The App is available to be downloaded from the App Store and Google Play Included below are some work in progress shots creating the environments in Unreal Engine 4 using assets available from Quixel Megascans, and the Unreal Marketplace and some shots from the final animation with character models sourced from Autodesk. I have also included some photos from the launch event where Leanne, and the Visual Dreaming team allowed me to be included as a part of their journey. This was such a great opportunity to not only display my banner but to meet Stan Grant Jr, who shared some kind words with me after my animation was played.
16.01.2022 More Screenshots from the animation I'm currently working on.
04.01.2022 Our panel was a success at Artstate. This was such a great opportunity to discuss some of the work I've done and a few possible future projects.
03.01.2022 With Siggraph Asia 2020 happening in around 2 weeks it reminded me of my time last year when I volunteered with Siggraph Asia 2019 in Brisbane. I met a lot of interesting people, such as one of my fellow volunteers who works on creating storyboards for Bob's Burgers. I also met some PhD researchers from Japan working with the HoloLens, trying to create immersive projects that interact with the real world. I also got to watch talks from Pixar, Disney, Adobe, SideFX, Autodesk, ILM, and Blur Studio among others. Here is a photo of all the volunteers. I've circled where I am in the photo.
