07.01.2022 Hello all, With the current virus situation changing on a daily basis I just wanted to reach out remind our loyal customers that we are still (currently) operating as normal and that, like all small businesses, we need your support now more than ever! Having said that, in line with current guidelines, if you have been overseas or have any flu-like symptoms you should refrain from visiting. We are adhering to recommendations for hand washing and have increased our already stri...ngent surface cleaning schedule. Markers have also been placed on the carpet to remind those queuing to adhere to the 1.5m social distancing recommendations, sadly I feel we won’t have much need for those as we have not seen a queue for a number of days now. After verifying your ID we will be signing parcels out on your behalf to minimise contact with our equipment and we ask that you avoid (and encourage your children to do the same) any unnecessary handling and contact with stock and surfaces. Many of you will know that processing Passport applications is one of our primary revenue sources, sadly that evaporated early in the week with the new travel restrictions in place. Like all businesses, there is a very fine line between wanting our customers to keep coming through the doors, while at the same ensuring that the health of our staff and other customers can be maintained. With just myself and three other staff to cover our five and half days, if we contract the virus, we will have no other choice but to close the doors. I would also ask that you keep an eye on the elderly residents in our community and offer to assist them where you can, particularly with basic things like bill payment and purchasing stamps. It could be as simple as having a conversation with your elderly neighbour about changing some of their habits to reduce the need to leave the house, e.g. getting slightly more cash out when they do their banking to save a trip or two. For those working from home (or wanting to avoid a trip to Hornsby) we have a large range of cartridges and stationery items and if we do not have what you need can order in (usually delivered next day).
