This might come in handy for some, especially since the NSW Government has just announced that they will introduce annual $80 permits for owners of non-desexed cats, effective from 1 July 2020. De-sexing your cat will not only prevent unwanted litters but also has many other benefits, including improved health, wellbeing and behaviour. Please let me know if you are available and I will give you the contact details. "This is Nayla she's a Bengal and she's one years old. She's quite energetic and came to me as an outdoor cat so I do have difficulty keeping her inside. I've sold my house and my place isn't ready until 22nd Jan. 18.01.2022 Missing Burmese Cat. Please help find 1.5year old Burmese Cat called Thunder. Went missing 20-21st July. He is very friendly but will be very disorientated as he is a city cat and never been in the bush. He will also be hungry as refused all food last night. Please let Kirsten know if you have seen him. 02.01.2022 You do not need to give up your cat just because you are pregnant (due to possible toxoplasmosis). Firstly, you can have a titre test done to determine if your ...cat is a carrier and secondly, it's just a matter of care. You just need some common sense. Generations of women before you (including myself) had cats during pregnancy. Some doctors tell pregnant women to give up their cats and it's a bit like some vets tell people to kill their cats because they have ring worm or cat flu or FIV. Either ask someone else to empty poo from litter trays and clean them or simply wear rubber gloves. When finished, while still wearing the gloves, wash your hands thoroughly with an antibacterial wash before removing the gloves. Kitty litter trays should always be clean. If you can see a poo mark on them, they are not clean and should be washed. Poo should always be emptied immediately you see it. Poo left for 24 hours can cause Corona virus which in turn can lead to FIP which is death sentence for cat. Nothing can save a cat with FIP. One of the ways we judge does a rescue look like they are doing the right thing is when we see pics of litter trays in the background. If they are dirty (I am not talking one poo in a clean looking litter tray), then that is a concern. Everything to do with animals should be clean. See more
