23.01.2022 In the final game of the season our U13s-Bronze came away with the chocolates against Belrose Eagles at Storey Park last Saturday afternoon to finish on a high! It was a see-sawing affair with the boys snatching victory from the Eagles on the buzzer when Scott Thorpe crashed over for his second try of the afternoon to level the scores at 18-18. Under no pressure at all, rugby convert Dylan slotted the conversion between the uprights to win the game 20-18, before being swamp...ed by his team mates. Congratulations boys perseverance paid off! Keep in mind our current U17 Grizzlies team had a similar season in U13's and made the GF last year, and are competing in a Sydney wide Gold competition this year. Keep working on your games, enjoy the mates you are making and the rewards will come! 18.01.2022 U11s Semi Final vs Lane Cove Tigers Proudly Sponsored by Wilks Cuts Barbershop Berowra Here are some photos of our mighty U11s from Saturday's semi-final against Lane Cove Tigers. ... Whilst the Tigers won the match, the score line didn't reflect the effort and how close the game actually was. The Tigers got away to an early 12-0 lead in the first quarter before the second quarter was 0-all with the Wallabies being held up over the line for the first of three times during the match. Finally Lachie Mitchell posted the Wallabies first try with a clever scoot from dummy half. Eventually the Tigers finished 22-6 victors. Bite Me Award Man of the Match was tough to split, with every player giving their all, and in a smart move coaches Mark and Dylan delegated the decision to our VP George to announce the winner ... congratulations Kieran, your defense and hard running all day was a stand out! 17.01.2022 Congratulations to Jason Mazgay who last Sunday was announced as 2020's Coach of the Year! In 2020 Jase again took on the task of coaching both Saturdays with our U10s and Sundays with our A'Grade sides and also helped out along the way with other sides around the club when needed. Thanks Jase for all the hard work you've put in to build and develop our players in 2020, you've made a big impression on all of them....
