23.01.2022 A big thank you to the NSW RFSA for once again supporting ours and other brigades. Christmas hampers to help the brigade celebrate the festive season.

23.01.2022 Deputy Captain David McMonnies and I were honoured to attend Marine Rescue Hawkesbury this morning to present members with their Premier’s Citations, following a very busy fire season. Marine Rescue members spent many hours manning radios, phones and carrying out river patrols over the course of the season and it was satisfying to see their efforts rewarded this morning. The inter-agency relationship between the RFS and Marine Rescue continues to flourish and the assistance from Marine Rescue is greatly appreciated. Dave Kissick, Captain.

04.01.2022 It was a hot weekend - and summer looks like starting the same way. We're likely to see widespread increased fire danger across large parts of NSW on Tuesday 1 ...December, presenting challenging conditions. Very high and Severe fire danger ratings are forecast for much of central NSW. And with an increased risk of grass fires, we want everyone to be safe, check their plan and know what to do if a fire starts near you. See more

03.01.2022 Berowra Waters Rural Fire Brigade and Berowra Rural Fire Brigade had a joint training exercise. The scenario was a structure fire, adjacent property protection and bush alight, in a area where there boat access only. Combined exercises like this allow the CABA (Compressed Air Breating Apparatus) operaters to practice their skills, while the rest of the crew did the property protection, and support for the CABA operators.

02.01.2022 You know the alert levels of Advice, Watch and Act, and Emergency Warning. The way these are displayed on our website and Fires Near Me NSW smartphone app is c...hanging. Soon you’ll see these new icons. It’s part of the new Australian Warning System, to help you receive consistent information in emergencies no matter where you live, work or travel. While the icons may look different, what they mean doesn't change - you should check for information about what to do to protect you and your family. Keep an eye out for the new icons later this week. Check https://www.rfs.nsw.gov.au//gen/australian-warnings-system for info.
