22.01.2022 All stressed and damaged trees in Berri. All trees pictured are on lawns. Our rainfall for the last 12 months has been just 157mm, well below the long term average. This goes to show better long term planning is required for a sustainable urban tree resource. Using species from high rainfall zones are just not going to work as water and power become more expensive making heavy irrigation a thing of the past.... There has always been a plethora of beautiful dryland plants available that will withstand droughts. The time has come to consistently use the best of them. See more
