09.01.2022 With the Victorian COVID-19 situation escalating the risk to NSW is also increasing. For the Snowies in paritcular: 1. We are geographically very close to Victoria with multiple access points 2. We have open ski fields (yay for us)! Both Falls Creek and Hotham are closed and both are epic pass venues, Perisher is the other Australian epic pass venue.... 3. Many in the community rely on winter tourism to sustain their annual income. 4. Many residents of the Snowies currently live with auto-immune and other inflammatory disorders. 5. We have limited hospital resources. We are at increased risk and our population is at increased risk of more severe disease. The best ways to protect yourself, your family and loved ones, and the community are: social distancing and hand washing or sanitizing when out and about. The probelm with a highly contagious and dangerous infection (that can be present without symptoms) is that even if you are doing all the right things- someone else, who is standing behind you and appears fine, may not be.... Be vigilant and stay safe everyone. We are here to help, however we can.

09.01.2022 With so much extra soap use required during COVID-19, your hands may be starting to look a little worse for wear. Its easy to say "use moisturiser " but its a bit harder to form a new habit and actually use it. Why not try to incorporate moisturising your hands at night when you brush your teeth? You might be able to leave the hand cream near the toothpaste to help you remember for the first week (just make sure the packaging is sufficiently different to avoid an unpleasant ...mistake!). Overnight your skin relaxes and the cream will be readily absorbed. Come in and ask for a recommendation for your particular skin concern
