23.01.2022 SHEILA'S LAST DELIVERY Berridale residents who enjoy seeing the celebrated local postie Sheila Gent doing her regular rounds through town will be saddened to he...ar that after 16 years riding the four-stroke Honda, Sheila has decided to stand down, completing her last round yesterday, Tuesday June 30. I just wanted a change, I think 16 years is long enough, Sheila said. I started the job in 2004. I heard it was going and I thought it would be interesting and a good opportunity to be outside. She did enjoy the role, although the outdoor aspect of the job also meant that she would have to contend with the often harsh Snowy Monaro elements. 21.01.2022 EUCUMBENE MAIL DELIVERY There maybe a slight delay in the delivery of mail today due to the amount of snow on the road. Please be patient as we navigate our way around.

21.01.2022 To help kids from Jindabyne and surrounds with exposure to smoke the APSI is donating neck gaiters to the community. Kids can't use masks or respirators, but a ...neck gaiter soaked in water gives them some protection. You can pick one up for your child at the Jindabyne Pharmacy and the Berridale Post Office. To put the neck gaiter on your child first pull it over their head until their nose is covered. Then pull the bottom of the neck gaiter, from behind their neck, over their head. Then truck in the corners to help keep the gaiter over their nose (see photos below). Soak in water about once every half hour. These neck gaiters are made from a synthetic fabric so keep them away from fire.

21.01.2022 VALENTINES DAY CARDS Lots of lovely cards to share with your special someone this Sunday

20.01.2022 CORONA VIRUS & Berridale LPO Protecting our people, customers, and community The Self Service Terminals at Post Offices will be temporarily unavailable to ensure customers and staff keep a safe distance from one another.... Further, to minimise the risk of contracting or spreading coronavirus, all parcels be it at a post office or at a residence will no longer require a signature for delivery or collection. In all cases, whether a driver or postie delivers to the door or a customer goes into their local Post Office to collect a parcel, an Australia Post staff member will ask and record the customer’s name and sign on their behalf. The customer will still need to be present for this to occur, but contact will be minimised by either leaving the parcel at the door until the driver or postie has left the premises or left for the customer to pick up on the counter.

20.01.2022 In light of increasing cases of COVID 19 in the Snowy River LGA, we are anticipating reducing our opening hours to protect ourselves and staff from the possible cross infection from members of the community and people from out of town who are dropping in to pay bills. We ask that if you are feeling unwell to STAY HOME, this includes those of you with runny noses. Should we see the need to change our hours with the approval of Australia Post we will notify you asap.

20.01.2022 CORONA VIRUS and Berridale LPO. At Australia Post, our priority is always the safety of our customers and staff. We continue to monitor the developing situation around the spread of coronavirus COVID19, and in addition to measures already implemented, will now be taking further action to help protect customers and staff.... For our Post Office network, we are asking customers if they are showing symptoms not to visit our Post Offices, and for all other customers to keep a distance of at least one metre from people, and continue to practice good hygiene. This includes washing your hands often with soap and water, using a tissue and covering your mouth when you cough or sneeze, and avoiding close contact with others, such as touching.

19.01.2022 Happy Mothers Day x

17.01.2022 The Post Office will close today at 10.45 to attend the Berridale Remembrance Day Ceremony. I will reopen at 11.30am... Lest We Forget

05.01.2022 The virus is now in our region with several cases. I have attached the statement issued by the Southern Health District which spells out the circumstances and p...rovides critical information. The fires tested our community and once again we will be tested in order to save lives. Time to dig deep and continue to be the amazing people and community we are. Please follow the public health advice to safeguard our doctors, nurses and our wider community. Canberrans have been asked to not come to the South Coast and it is vital this message is followed in the interests of everybody. To those who have to keep our community going from our supermarket staff, our pharmacies, our medical workforce, teachers, police, firies - thank you. We all care and we are here to support you. Please look after your neighbours and our seniors who live alone. A simple phone call can mean so much. I know this is so unfair after the fires but we have incredible resilience and resolve. Let’s get through it.
