25.01.2022 The committee would like to extend a huge thank you to all who contributed to the organisation and running of the first finals games yesterday. The help from all our volunteers on the gate, canteen, around the ground and managing the teams is very much appreciated. We would also like to thank Blighty, Deni Rovers and Jerilderie Football and Netball Clubs for your cooperation to ensure we enjoyed a Covid-Safe day of junior football and netball. Good luck to all teams and clubs for next weeks final round!

12.01.2022 Our first finals day is here! This weekend, with so many teams coming to Berrigan it is our prerogative to ensure we operate in a COVIDsafe manner. Remember: - Only one parent per family. Please let your coach or contact the club to let us know who your parent is, so we can ensure they are on the list. No name, no entry! - As with all games this year, there is no alcohol permitted and this includes BYO ... - Anyone without an official role is not to enter the ground, changerooms or mingle with the playing group - Players are to bring their own water bottles, clearly labeled with their name and are not to share We ask that all players arrive ready to play. Please remember to keep us all Covid Safe and follow the rules: Only one parent per family should attend and MUST abide by current group gathering restrictions - staying 1.5 metres away from other people and not gathering in groups of more than 10. Parents are not permitted on the ground or in the player huddle we ask that parents, apart from necessary volunteers, keep their distance from the p...laying group Players are to bring their own water bottles, clearly labelled with their name and are not to share No lollies/fruits etc. will be permitted to be shared by players Players with mouthguards should avoid touching and taking out their mouthguards during the game Hand sanitiser will be available for players to use prior to and during the game/training and will be available at the interchange bench and entry to the grounds and buildings Players are to avoid spitting and nasal blows during games Players are to avoid handshakes and high fives during games Change rooms will only be open for toilet and medical attention We ask that all players arrive ready to play. 07.01.2022 It's hard to believe it's almost a month since we played our last game of footy for 2020. And what a year it was! We'd like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who was involved in making this year a huge success. Our biggest thanks goes to the Deni Rams without you guys we wouldn't have been able to field our 3rds team and would have been short in our 4ths. The Rams bought with them a great sense of community which was reflected through the boy’s teamwork and was a ...great fit with Berrigan. Our two clubs worked well together on and off the field. Thanks also to the Cobram Football Netball Club for allowing Callum and James to come and play. Special thanks to the Coaches: Craig Thornton, Rory Thornton, Anthony Bradley, Kyle Hawker, John Fitzpatrick & Tim Cooper. Trainers: Riley Nolen, Michael Bennett & Belinda McCallum. Team Managers: Shane Thornton & Simone Hughes, Umpires: Jeremy O'Dwyer & Stuart Pyle, and Runners: Harley Middleton & Fraser Haintz. Your contribution and time for this season, we know, was greatly appreciated by all the boys and their families. To all the parents who helped out with timekeeping, goal umpiring and in the canteen, thank you. A huge thank you to Cara Loats for organising the canteen and Arlena Pyle for being on top of all our COVID safe practices. This year was certainly very different from what we're all used to but we're all very grateful that our kids had the chance to play football. We look forward to the 2021 season.
