23.01.2022 We need your thoughts. We need your input on the content of the story boards and the subject of the sculpture at the wayside stops on the Great River Road. We need to think about what we want visitors to our area to know about us and what the visitors want to know. The suggestions so far for the story boards at the gateway (wayside stop opposite Trewalla road) are History of the construction of Lake Hume and the Bridge... Map of the amenities and attractions available along the Great River Road including Bethanga and Bellbridge Indigenous history of the area History of European settlement Mining history The suggestions for the wayside stop at 641 Murray River Road, Talgarno are Indigenous history of the Talgarno History of European settlement of Talgarno The impact of the creation of the Lake on Talgarno The ideas for the subject of the sculpture at this wayside stop so far are Spotted Quoll Echidna Turtle Greater glider Something for kids to climb on If you want to make a suggestion or support any of the listed ideas you can add to the post, use Messenger or email [email protected] See more

02.01.2022 The Berringa Peninsula Community Network distributed postcards to all Berringa Peninsula residents seeking your insights on local priorities for bushfire recovery and preparedness. These are due for return on 17 January 2021. Preferably return the card to addresses listed on the card but if this is not possible, we would welcome your views via our email, posting on this site or via messenger We want your views on: What would make you feel better prepared for a bushfire emergency? What bushfire resources could you have used last summer?
