24.01.2022 Saturday evening saw the start to the Berry Garden Club’s year. With an evening in the new George St Park, Michael Purdy was on hand to talk about his sculptures. There are two of his works within the park, both get people talking and both are beautiful and have significance to the town of Berry. Looking forward to a great year ahead for the club. #gardenclubs #smalltowns #towngardens #townparks #scuplture #georgestpark #visitshoalhaven @berrynsw #visitberry #berry @ Berry, New South Wales

Many of you may recognise this stunning garden from The Berry Gardens Festival in years past Thank you to our members Ros and Robin for sharing
21.01.2022 One of the gardens that was to feature this year and has been open in the past has a forest walk. Put some music on and relax. #berrygardensfestival
21.01.2022 Such a huge tree, with leaves as sharp as razors, a real challenge to underplant, and quite the litterbug , but when those spring blossoms turn into nuts and it starts raining macadamias in February, all is forgiven!
20.01.2022 Did one of garden club members run off to Provence? #localgardens #exploreyourneighbourhood @merribeegardens #countrygardens #visitshoalhaven #visitberry #berrynsw
20.01.2022 Berry is a town of beautiful trees, you can follow all the seasons in trees. Whilst the magnolias are almost over it’s still worth a street walk to see them and there are some blossoms just about to bloom. #berry #berrygardens #berrytrees #berrygardensfestival #smalltowngardens #gardentowns
18.01.2022 Citrus time in Berry. So many town gardens citrus trees are laden with fruit. I’ve seen 3 types of lemons, many varieties of orange, a few grapefruit varieties and mandarins. There are a few backyard trees looking like they could be raided, thinking of marmalade. #towngardens #countrytowns #fruittrees #smalltowngardens #coastaltowns #citrus

15.01.2022 A great view of one of our club members property. Here in Berry the weather couldn’t be better for staying home and gardening. We understand there is a seed shortage so this is a great time to share. Soon a post of free roaming vegetables #gardening #moregardening #smalltowns #ruralgarden #paddocksculpture

14.01.2022 From the gardens of club members. Growing your own food even it’s just simple salad greens, Asian green and beans will give you so much. Enjoyment, time in the sunshine, fingers in the dirt and the knowledge you know exactly where what you are eating is coming from. @chigi_mum @myfoxgroundgarden for anyone wanting to brush up skills watch @goodlife_permaculture @ Berry, New South Wales
12.01.2022 Time to think about sowing beetroot. Did you know soaking those little clusters of seeds in a weak seaweed solution helps them germinate?

11.01.2022 Unfortunately this year the Berry Garden Club had to cancel the Camellia and Flower show. The good news is the Berry Gardens Festival is on track to go ahead. It will be different this year but stay connected to see how the club is planning to open up Berry gardens. This is breaking news so the website may not have all the details as yet. 15-18th Oct 2020. Some of last year’s entrants from the from the Camellia table. #flowers #gardenfestivals #opengardens #smalltowngardens #visitgardens #growplants

02.01.2022 Eat more garlic. There is a lot of talk around garlic at this time. Immune support. What variety to plant and when to plant. As summer has moved to autumn a decision needs to be made how much space should be given over to the slow growing garlic. Each individual garden has their own formula. Here’s some old fashioned tips, plant at Easter, use bulbs from your own garden from the past year or bulbs grown in similar climates. 3-5 bulbs will make a nice sized patch for a beginner and loose soil is better than compact. Please comment on your tips #grownyourown #bulbs #garlic #immunesupport #homegrown if you can’t grow your own buy from a reliable source this came from @longview_garlic
02.01.2022 Time to pot up some bulbs for some pops of colour come spring. Yes spring is only a few weeks away, officially winter isn’t here yet but it will be over quickly. #bulbs #countrygardens #pots #gardeningaustralia #pottedcolour #keepgardening
