21.01.2022 Have you heard of coeliac awareness week? It’s happening right now (March 13-20) and its aim is to raise awareness about Australia’s relatively low coeliac disease diagnosis rate. An estimated 80% of people with coeliac disease don’t know they have it, yet early diagnosis can greatly improve long term wellbeing. Over 355,000 Australians have coeliac disease. (Approximately 1 in 70!) The benefits of early diagnosis are considerable... a decreased risk of associated long term... health complications occurring, and it’s the first step towards adopting a gluten free diet and feeling better. If you’re coeliac - we have you supported. We have a resident coeliac at the berry patch so we are very educated and aware on gluten hygiene.
