25.01.2022 Just an update to all our Berry Springs families, we are going to attend another meeting with the DCA next month regarding our application. We are hoping that the outcome will be positive. I would also like to say thank you very much to Berry springs Primary school for their letter of support sent to DCA. We will keep you posted.

20.01.2022 Hi everyone. We have been very busy responding to some comments made by individuals and concern groups. Some comments made were; There is no need for a childcare centre in Berry Springs due to vast majority of the working population around the area works closer to town or in town, We need a bigger block, The use of transportable buildings whose quality "they" cannot estimate, - very strange question as once the building is erected on site, it will not be moving from that sit...e and to us it is a low set steel frame metal clad structure that is up to current standard, the fact that it is built from pre assembled modules should have no relevance on the amenity of the building once completed. and childcare standards concern - with regards to childcare standards - we are one of the 19th centres in the NT who were rated Exceeding in 2016 and coming is our next assessment next year. As per the Kids matter report in 2017, the results of the NT aren't impressive at all. We really need positive comments from the childcare user group in the community whether its us or somebody else, this support must be shown please. We are not second guessing the development consent people, they will make their decisions based on the facts presented.

16.01.2022 To all our families, we waited patiently for the water extraction last year, as yet we have not received any word on it and still being assessed. We spoke to the director of water today and the decision is still pending. Unfortunately, due to this, the anticipated opening in July will not happen. We are very sorry and according to the media coverage lately, the water issue is not gonna go away. IT has been suggested that we approach Berry springs water users in a water trading agreement to get an allocation that way. WE have no idea who to do it. Suggestions would be welcome.

09.01.2022 After the long wait, stage1 completed. We welcome feedback from the community :)

09.01.2022 Staff members for Berry Springs Childcare will have training at this centre and qualified candidates will be chosen to be Berry Springs Team of Educators. The management would like to ensure that we have the best education and care for our current and future families.

07.01.2022 Berry Springs childcare will be run by Arnhem Early Learning Centre management team. AELC which many people in Nhulunbuy call as "Turtle School". We have been in the industry for 10 years and for these period, we have been consistently rated as the ONLY Exceeding Rated childcare in Nhulunbuy and from the last rating , we are one of the 19 centers in the NT that were rated Exceeding.
