07.01.2022 First Aid in Schools We were lucky to have Hayley from St Johns NT teach students from all classes vital skills required to help in an emergency or could save a life. Some of these skills include; - treat a nose bleed - bandage a wound... - treat a burn - treat a snake or spider bite - send for help - who to go to for help and how to call an ambulance in an emergency - manage an unconscious patient - perform CPR and use a defibrillator (year 5 and up) Students put these skills into practice and also had the opportunity to have a look through the ambulance. Thank you Hayley and St John's NT for teaching our students these lifesaving skills in a fun and engaging way.
06.01.2022 This morning our House Captain's met with house teams to discuss what students would like them to organise and run during recess and lunch breaks. There were some great ideas shared through student voice that included team games, skill development activities in a range of sports, art and craft activities, discos and more. Our House Captain's will collate and analyse the feedback over the next week and begin implementing some of these fun activities.
