25.01.2022 Junior Grand Final Update Our u12 side faced ladder topping Frenchville in their Grand Final and took the lead after just two minutes when a Bobby Page cross was met by Mattia De Filippo Rodriguez with a thunderous header. Just minutes later it could if been 2-0 when Oliver Hinds shot from 20 yards was brilliantly saved onto the bar by the goalkeeper. Down the other end Isabella Grieves was keeping the Grieves name alive in goal with two saves back to back from just a few fee...t away. Frenchville then equalised through some nice combinations and 1-1 at half time. Second half was end to end and our young Bears had some big chances but couldn't find the net and with just minutes to play Frenchville took the lead and held on for a 2-1 win. Coach Murf was proud of his team and said there wasn't anything left in the tank from anyone after the game and it was such a tight game that one goal was always going to decide the winner. Berserker centre back Luke Murphy was named player of the final by the referees. Well done Luke, man of the match in a losing side is no mean feat and you should be very proud. Well done u12 Bears. Well done to coaches Tim Murphy and Sam Williams and manager Marcus McCosker. 24.01.2022 Saturday night football is on at Elizabeth Park. Third placed Central face our Bears who now sit fourth on the table with kick off at 7.15. Cold beers and food available. Our Bears will be looking to bounce back from their 4-1 loss to Frenchville last week. Come on ye Bears!!!

21.01.2022 Friday Night football saw the Grizzlies take on top of the table Bluebirds at Elizabeth Park. A slow first half saw our boys down 3-0 at half time before mounting a comeback but falling short with the match finishing 3-2. Prem Malhotra and Lachlan Boardman were our sides goal scorers. The Grizzlies have a catch up game on Monday night this week. Rip in lads.

13.01.2022 Our Community Mens side took of Frenchville White for a top of the table clash on Friday night. The evergreen Ross Smart found the net early before frenchville took the lead with two goals either side of half time. But then in the 85th minute, the man, the myth, Devine Eze scored is first goal for the Berserker Southside Alliance to snag a 2-2 draw. Both side remain undefeated just short of the halfway mark of the season. Ross Smart leads the golden boot. ... Come on ye Bears!

13.01.2022 Saturday Night Results Premiers - coming off a hard fought loss to Frenchville a week ago our Premiers faced second on the ladder Bluebirds at Elizabeth Park. Our boys got off to a good start when Jaymon Bob was fouled in the box and Lindsay McMaster slotted the spot kick on 8 minutes. On 22 minutes Jardel Bob got on the end of a free kick and our boys led 2-0. Towards the end of the half Jardel almost had the boys three to the good but found the post and Bluebirds went end t...o end on the counter and found the net through Yianni Kondilis. Yianni then levelled the scores at 2-2 with a free kick on 43 minutes. All locked up at half time 2-2. Second half was more of the same and on 54 minutes Bluebirds took the lead through Liam McLean. But our boys weren't finished either and Jaymon Bob found the net of his brothers corner to level things up at 3-3 with half an hour to play. End to end attacks for both sides but no more goals to be had and 3-3 it finished. Coach Mitch Williams was proud of his teams resolve but felt a few moments in concentration let his side down and Bluebirds back into the game. Three draws out of the last four games he feels the effort and consistency his side is showing hasn't been rewarded with a win. A trip to the beach next weekend to face Cap Coast. 09.01.2022 Saturday Night Results - Berserker Southside vs Cap Coast Premier Reserves looked to cement their spot in the top four with a win and got off to a good start with Ben Gregg finding the cross bar before Ty Allsop went on a rout with four first half goals. Coast clawed one back before Jeremy Schoeler bagged a late brace for the score to finish 6-1. ... U9/10 Exibition Game - our miniroos faced the u9/10 Coast side and had a blast playing under the lights and came away with a 3-0 win with Koden Harney scoring twice and Elie Clinton scoring also. A great experience for our kids. Big thanks to CCFC for the invite. Our Premier League side was coming off 3 draws out of 4 games and a chance to close on the top four. Our boys settled in and repelled Coasts attackers whilst the Bob brothers kept Coasts defenders on their toes at the other end. 0-0 at half time. After the break was crucial for our side not to concede early and our boys held firm despite Cap Coasts Nathan Norris finding the woodwork. Legs were getting weary and the game opening up. Jaymon Bob had a chance to put our side 1-0 up but could only hit his shot at the keeper. With about 10 minutes a Damian Clinton cross was deflected onto the bar before Jeremy McMahon's follow up also hit the post. But on 85 minutes Tana Martin found space on the right and buried his shot across the keeper and the Bears were up 1-0. Coast were down to 10 men but pushed on and looked to equalize but our side held firm and a huge win was cheered by all. Our first win of the 2020 Premier League season for the Bears and the team songs were sung loud and proud. Both sides face Frenchville at Ryan Park this Saturday so come down support our sides. ..... and up the Mighty Bears!!

05.01.2022 OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT COMPETITION STARTS 13TH OF NOVEMBER Berserker Soccer Club will be hosting an Over 35's Social Competition on Friday nights at Elizabeth Park, Foster Street, North Rockhampton...home of the Bears!!... Nomination Fee to enter a team is $50 for the season. Game Fees on the night will be $50 per team (10 players on team = $5 per player). You can have more than 10 players if you wish. Game details... 8 players per team on field at one time.. plus reserves 25 minute halves Normal size goals will be used (keeper circle will be marked) Field size is half of the normal field (playing across the field) Game start times will be decided once nominations have been received. The Canteen will be open and drinks and food will be available to purchase. We are looking to run the season from 13th November through to mid February with a 3 week break over Christmas and New Year. 04.01.2022 The CQPL Semi Finals produced some close encounters with both Frenchville Senior Football matches decided in extra time, while Berserker Bears Football Club snatched the victory from Nerimbera Football Club with a late winner Congrats to all teams progressing to the next stage!

03.01.2022 Junior Grand Final Update Our u15/16 took on the undefeated Bluebirds in their grand final and Coach Chook and his boys were looking to finally end their grand final losing streak after playing and losing to Bluebirds in their last 4 grand finals. A fairly even start with both sides creating chances going forward and the defenders earning their keep. Bailey Price broke the deadlock on 23 minutes before Jardel Bob doubled the advantage just 5 minutes later finishing nicely fr...om just outside the box. 2-0 at half time. Coach Chook asked his side to be the next to score and not let Bluebirds back in the game and they did that when a Tana Martin cross was met by Bryce Leighton at the back post and just like the first half the Bears struck again with a Jardel Bob header from a corner. Our goalkeeper Christian Robe was on fire in goal, tipping a freekick onto the bar and keeping Bluebirds to nil. An emphatic 4-0 win in the GF and smiles on faces all round. Coach Chook said his side saved their best for last and dominated all over the park and that they deserve this win for their efforts. Berserker centre back Luke Gladwell was named player of the final. Thank you to Treccs Electrical and our official apparel supplier Veto Sports. Well done u15/16s.

02.01.2022 Saturday Night Results Premier Reserves - looking to snap a four game losing streak our boys led early through Ty Allsop on 13 minutes and led 1-0 at half time. Bluebirds struck back after half time and both sides went end to end looking for a winner before Rockhamptons most eligible bachelor Ben Gregg found the net off a corner in the dying minutes. 2-1 the end score. ... Coach Rob applauded his boys efforts and their never give up attitudes and work rate. Well done lads.
