25.01.2022 Todays before and after post is a composite veneers case by Dr Paris! The patients concern was that he had no front teeth visible when smiling due to severe wear and chipping which results in extreme sensitivity on exposed surfaces. The patient would often use his teeth for stripping wires as well as being a sever grinder of his teeth (bruxism). The dentists comments were that he needed to build up the height of all of the patients teeth in order to have enough room to pr...ovide an aesthetic outcome at the front. As well as needing to increase the volume of all teeth without filing them down for crowns. The procedure was replacing the old metal fillings with white reinforced resin fillings thus opening up the bite. At the front, Dr Paris made custom freehand resin veneers to the new working length- which was more than twice the original length of the teeth. The outcome is a very satisfied patient who is comfortable eating all foods, hot and cold, with no sensitivity. The patient is finally confident with his smile! The patient still grinds their teeth so we have provided him with a night guard.

23.01.2022 Today we have 2 before and afters of the same patient by Dr Trevor Ng! This patient had a few dental issuesnamely two infected and discoloured front teeth , and several other fractured teeth, all sustained from an injury. We were able to salvage the infected teeth with root canal treatment, and then subsequent bleaching to internally brighten them (Before and After 1). ... The patient has then had some cosmetic restorations to the fractured teeth, trying to be as conservative as possible to maintain the integrity of the teeth (Before and After 2) The patient is ecstatic with the result and grateful that we were able to save his original teeth! Call 9707 2299 today to book an appointment.

22.01.2022 Before and After Mondays! This lovely lady had 2 crowns and all other existing resin veneers replaced by Dr Jane Meng. The old crowns and veneers were done elsewhere a while back. The moment the patient looked into the mirror breaking into tears after everything was done was priceless and makes my job worthwhile! Call Berwick Dental Centre today on 97072299 to make an appointment with one of our dentists to see how we can transform your smile.

21.01.2022 Todays before and after case is invisalign by Dr Jane Meng. The patients concern was that his teeth are too messy. He wanted straight, nice looking teeth without costing an arm and a leg. Dr Mengs comments are that this patient suffers from a combination of lower crowding, gaps between upper teeth, overjet, and severely worn down teeth due to grinding and clenching. ... The solution was invisalign treatment to straighten the lower teeth and to close upper gaps plus correcting overjet. Dr Meng also achieved this amazing result without needing to extract any teeth. To keep costs down, we simply repaired the worn down 4 upper front teeth with resin composite. The lower teeth position are still getting refined by Invisalign and the end we will also repair the lower front teeth with resin. The patient will also need to wear an occlusal splint to prevent further damage to his teeth and fillings from grinding and clenching. The result is a very happy and satisfied patient! We will keep you updated with the final result

21.01.2022 Another Before and After picture! This weeks image is an orthodontic case the patient had their braces for 12 months and is ecstatic with the significant result! It was great team work between Dr Jane Meng and the cooperative patient for regularly attending her appointments, thorough teeth cleaning, and wearing her elastics as instructed! Call the team at Berwick Dental Centre on 9707 2299, to find out how we can transform your smile.

19.01.2022 Todays before and after case is composite veneers by Dr Paris! The patients concerns were about unevenness of smile, stained old fillings and his teeth chipping all the time. The patient wanted a natural new look, fresh and clean but I dont want Hollywood white Dr Paris comments are that the patient has an uneven bite resulting in the right hand side upper teeth being significantly shorter than the left hand side due to years of grinding and clenching. The patient also... has multiple fine fracture lines running through his teeth as a result of clenching, so we need to preserve as much tooth structure as possible and reinforce what is there. The solution was 8 custom free-hand veneers, replacing all fillings at the same time with a bonding technique that helps support the remaining tooth structure. A night splint was made for the patient to minimise future damage for grinding at night. This is exactly the solution that I wanted, I wanted them clean and fresh without them glowing in the dark. The patient also intends to bleach the lower teeth at a later date.

19.01.2022 Before and after Mondays! Todays is a braces case by Dr Paris. Apart from the teeth looking a little bit messy at the start, the most important thing about this patient was her traumatic bite where the bottom front teeth were digging into the gum of the palate. It was a great functional and cosmetic result through lots of hard work by both the dentist and the patient. The team at Berwick Dental Centre are here to help with orthodontic treatment for your whole family, call us on 97072299 for a consult and see what we can do for you.

19.01.2022 Before and after pictures! Here we have an orthodontic case by Dr Trevor Ng. This patient was keen on correcting the crowding around quite a few of his front teeth, without resorting to teeth extractions. ... With a combination of careful diagnosis/treatment planning and fixed braces, we were able to produce a beautiful, healthy and stable smile that compliments the patients face and profile. It was a terrific result for a terrific patient! Call Berwick Dental Centre on 9707 2299 to book your appointment today!

19.01.2022 Before and after! Todays post is a porcelain veneers case by Dr Trevor Ng. This fabulous patient always had a beautiful smile, but wanted to do something about the gap between her front teeth. There was also some noticeable attrition of the teeth, so we wanted to be able to build back what had been lost. Through a combination of proper pre-diagnostic modelling, we were able to achieve a terrific result with a combination of whitening, gum lift, porcelain veneers and crown...s. She is rapt with the result, and now has a healthy, strong, and dazzling smile that will last for years to come. Call the team at Berwick Dental Centre on 9707 2299 to book an appointment with one of our dentists to see what we can do for you.

18.01.2022 Todays before and after is a porcelain veneers case by Dr Jane Meng! The patients main concerns were that her front teeth keep chipping and that the two front teeth are shorter than the adjacent teeth as a result of wear. The patient was after a long term fix. Dr Mengs comments are that the patients front teeth are severely worn so they are very fragile, and very prone to chipping and fractures. The two front teeth are also much darker in shade compared to the rest of the... teeth. The solution was two porcelain veneers. The veneers wrap around to cover 1/3 of the palatial surface of the teeth to give some structural protection as well as provide aesthetic improvement. The veneers are expected to last an average of 10-15 years and were made to the shapes of patents teeth in original form before they were worn down. The outcome was an ecstatic patient with a great smile who no longer has to worry about damaging her teeth!

17.01.2022 Todays procedural image is another implant case! Image 1. This is an implant case done by Dr Jane Meng from beginning to finish in our implantology centre Image 2. Before we started the patient was missing most of her front teeth, image 2 shows the healing phase of the 2 upper and 2 lower dental implants. Those metal pieces through the gum are healing abutments protecting the underneath implants. ... Image 3. The dental panoramic X-ray shows the significance of the procedure including implants, bridge and crowns in place. Image 4. The final product! To replace the missing front teeth 4 unit implant supported bridges were fitted, the canine teeth adjacent to the implant bridges are crowned for structure and enhanced aesthetics. This was a great result and we had another happy patient leaving Berwick Dental Centre. Call Berwick Dental Centre on 9707 2299 to make an appointment with one of our dentists to see how we can help you and your smile.

17.01.2022 Procedure series! In todays series we have Dr Emma performing the second stage of a root canal treatment. Root canal treatment is usually a three stage procedure to save a very inflamed or infected tooth- so it doesnt need to be removed!... In this case, our lovely patient unfortunately presented with a large hole in her tooth leading to a painful infection. Image 1. Dr Emma in stage 1 opens the tooth, where she finds the root canals and the dead infected nerve material which she will remove. The tooth is then dressed with medication to settle the pain, and start the healing process. A temporary filling is then placed. Image 2. In stage two the tooth is usually reopened a couple of weeks later and the root canals are more thoroughly cleaned and shaped. Again they are medicated and a temporary filling placed. Approximately a month later we will have the final stage to fill the roots and place a permanent filling to seal the tooth. Ideally a crown is placed 6 months later to strengthen the tooth and prevent it from breaking. Call Berwick Dental Centre on 9707 2299 and find out how we can help you and your teeth!

16.01.2022 Todays procedure photos belong to our orthodontic series! Image 1. Dr Jane Meng and her assistant, Cassidy are putting braces on a beautiful young lady. Image 2. Each bracket is precisely positioned and glued in the center of the tooth, later cure and set by LED blue light. ... Image 3. Flexible wires are then fitted through the brackets and secured on by rubber modules. Patients can choose different colored modules to make things more fun looking each time they get their braces adjusted- our patient here chose the light blue to go match her hair tie! The patient needs to return for adjustment every 6 weeks. While every case is different, this particular treatment is expected to be completed within 12 months. We will show you the before and after once the braces are off! Call the team at Berwick Dental Centre on 9707 2299 today to see how we can fix your smile.

16.01.2022 TMJ Muscle Relaxant Procedure! This is a case where Dr Jane Meng treats TMJ pain with muscle relaxant injection. Temporomandibular joint dysfunction (TMPD), is generally known as TMJ pain. It refers to pain and symptoms related to structures surrounding temporomandibular joint. The main treatments for TMPD include Myotheraphy, Splint therapy, and Muscle relaxant injection. Muscle relaxant is a good treatment option when Splint and Myotherapy do not resolve TMJ pain. ... Here, Dr Jane Meng injects the medication into patients Masseter muscles, one of the major chewing muscles in our Jaw. The medication reduces the strength of Masseter muscles, therefore relieves pain from muscle inflammation and spams. This treatment needs to be repeated every 3-6 months depending on symptoms. Our patient here is receiving her third lot of treatment, and shes very happy with the treatment outcome. Call Berwick Dental Centre on 9707 2299 to find out how we can help you.

13.01.2022 Before and afters! This was a freehand veneers case by Dr Paris. This 60 year old patient presented with numerous dental health and cosmetic issues. Our patients request was to make her teeth look like they did when she was 20. In this case freehand veneers were created (upper and lower) followed by ceramic bridge work to replace teeth that needed to be extracted see the photo in the comments section for stage two of the bridge work. ... Thanks Paris, I look 25 again. It was a great result for everyone involved. Call 9707 2299 to make an appointment today.

12.01.2022 Today we have an amazing orthodontic before and after by Dr Paris. This patient’s concern was that none of her front teeth would meet, as seen by the pictures when the patient was biting down. This caused an inability to eat, her upper teeth were not visible when smiling and she had trouble swallowing her food. The other complication was that her two upper canine teeth were impacted (blocked from coming through because of a lack of space see arrow). This was a very challe...nging orthodontic case where teeth needed to be moved huge distances to close the bite. The solution was to utilise her growth and to encourage vertical movement of her upper and lower front teeth with braces this process took around 2 years. Essential to our success was brilliant patient cooperation as the patient from regional Victoria would travel great distances every month for her adjustments. Excellent function was achieved the patient is able to chew and swallow efficiently in public and now has enough confidence to smile and we are all delighted with the outcome. Nobody would know what we started with, and that is what a good treatment outcome should be. Call Berwick Dental Centre today on 9707 2299 to see how we can transform your smile.

12.01.2022 Todays before and after is an orthodontic case by Dr Jane Meng. The patients ultimate concern was that she wanted straight teeth to boost her confidence. Dr Mengs comments are that there was severe crowding of both upper and lower teeth so orthodontic treatment would not only improve aesthetics but would allow the patient to better clean and care for her teeth and gum health long term.... The solution was braces for both the upper and lower arches. Four premolars were also extracted (one from each quadrant) to make space for all of her teeth! The outcome was an ecstatic patient with the perfect smile.

11.01.2022 Today we have a fantastic before and after orthodontic case by Dr Trevor Ng. This lovely teenager already had a beautiful smile, but was concerned about the amount of crowding of her teeth, which was also making them hard to clean properly. After a thorough analysis, we elected to go with fixed braces, and utilise a non-extraction approach.... After completion, we have enhanced her dazzling smile, and importantly made it much easier for her to achieve good dental hygiene. A win-win situation for a great patient! The team at Berwick Dental Centre are here to help with orthodontic treatment for your whole family, call us on 97072299 for a consult and see what we can do for you.

07.01.2022 Before and after Mondays! Todays patient is one of Dr Paris direct composite veneers. Cost limitations for crowns and porcelain veneers meant that this lovely lady basically lived without smiling for 30 years. As a very affordable cost option, direct veneers allowed us to remove all stains, correct defects and even fix the difference between the midline of the patients teeth with the face. ... Omg I finally feel comfortable smiling, for not much more than I was going to spend on a designer bag and shoes was the patients reaction to seeing her new smile. Call Berwick Dental Centre on 9707 2299 to see how we can transform your smile.

07.01.2022 Todays before and after photos are composite veneers by Dr Paris. The patient was unhappy with the appearance of her current smile with uneven gum line display and significant colour variation due to weakened enamel, and discoloured teeth due to trauma and root canals. The patient specifically wanted to get her natural big smile back! Dr Paris comments were that he needed to even up the amount of gum display between teeth and lip on the left versus right side. The patient w...anted white teeth hence significant colour masking challenge but still needed to keep them looking natural. The procedure was a gingevectomy (minor gum lift on selected teeth) and multiple layered custom resin veneers to provide a bright white smile, which is consistent over all teeth. The outcome was that the patient has her proud white smile back with tooth edges and gum margin all following the contour of the lips... I didnt think I could get a result as good as this without selling my house but you did it.

05.01.2022 Todays Before and After! A great alternative to orthodontic treatment in some cases is to use veneers to close up gaps. In this case high-end composite veneers were used to create symmetry and to close gaps that the patient has been unhappy with for years. From start to finish this transformation only took Dr Paris 3 hours. Call Berwick Dental Centre on 9707 2299 to find out how we can fix your smile.

04.01.2022 This before and after post is an orthodontic case that was completed over 10 years ago by Dr Jane Meng. The before photos were taken before braces in 2008, the after photos were taken in 2020 during a review appointment. The patient’s initial concerns were that her teeth were too crooked and she wanted to be able to smile with straight teeth. Dr Meng’s comments are that the patient had severe crowding with obvious asymmetry. A cross bite was present at the front, which led t...o a functional shift. If this was not corrected, the patient’s front teeth would wear down rapidly and she may suffer from long term TMJ issues down the track. The procedure was braces and 2 lower premolar extraction. The outcome was a confident and beautiful smile with long lasting straight teeth and perfect occlusion. Call Berwick Dental Centre on 9702 2299 to see how we can transform your smile.
