25.01.2022 Happy Sunday Footy Fam In order for a club of our size to be successful, we need a large group of volunteers behind the scenes to get the season up and running smoothly. Please consider helping the club and your kids, by being part of a great committee and helping to ensure 2021 is one of our best seasons yet.... We still have a few important roles we need nominations for, including: ** Treasurer - Do you have Bookkeeping experience? You will not be thrown in the deep end, a full handover will take place with constant support during the season. ** Team Manager Co-Ordinator - Are you a great communicator and have wonderful organisational skills? A full handover with our current TM Co-ord will also be done. ** Fundraising / Social team - team up with some other parents in your team or other teams and help to organise some fun events to raise some money for the club. Sponsorship and Grounds Manager are also needing to be filled. Nominations are still open for all positions but do close this week. 03.01.2022 ** THANK YOU ** On behalf of the Committee of BJFC, we would like to sincerely thank Wendy Williams for her tireless work as President of BJFC over the past 4 years. Prior to the Presidents role, Wendy also held the role as VP Operations.... Wendy has been an integral part in the important advances made at BJFC, specifically in the area of grant funding. At times, the role has been very challenging and has come at a cost of spending quality time with her family and at times watching her beloved Tigers. To Jim, Thomas, Ryan and Hamish we say thank you for allowing Wendy to continue doing the role for as long as she has. We also have to mention Wendy’s dog Dusty (the Richmond theme continues!!). Whilst on their daily walks, this gave Wendy the opportunity to catch up on multiple club phone calls with the Executive Team and putting things into action. Most of all, we are going to miss Wendy's friendly and energetic presence, her organisational and professional skills and her intelligent and thoughtful communication. Wendy will continue to manage the works at Akoonah Park until it's completion before next season. THANK YOU Wendy and enjoy all of the extra spare time you will now have with your family and friends. #gowickers
