01.01.2022 Every single decision we make is backed by the most up-to-date medical research and this one is no different. Following the release of a new study, the update...d advice from Victoria's Chief Health Officer is to wear a face mask if you're out in public in a restricted area and not able to physically distance. I want to make it very clear: masks are not mandatory but we're recommending everyone to get onboard. Face masks can be reusable cloth ones or disposable. They both make a difference. This doesn't apply to anyone under the age of 18 and importantly, children under the age of two should never, ever wear masks. Just finally: wearing a mask does not make you immune to coronavirus. It doesn't mean you can stop washing your hands or get too close to people. And it definitely doesn't mean that you should leave your home for anything other than one of the four essential reasons. It's a small action, but face masks can greatly reduce transmission of the virus between people. And that's worth it.
