13.01.2022 Heavy hearts and teary eyes this morning as AFL South East (AFLSE) have regretfully announced the decision to cancel all junior football competitions across the region in 2020. The commitment shown from all 23 teams at the club, from players, coaches, officials, parents and sponsors over the past few months during these unprecedented times, has shown that 2021 will be our biggest year yet. Thank you to the committee who continued to stay on top of all of the return to trainin...g protocols to have the teams out on the ground in a safe environment. Whilst the 2020 season didnt go to plan we will be back bigger and stronger than ever in season 2021. 10.01.2022 We are pumped here at BJFC HQ with the announcement today of a return to play date of Sunday 12th July. Its been a long time coming and we are very excited that despite a challenging year so far, our kids will still get to play Footy! The length of the season is still to be confirmed, however we are expecting to have a substantial season ahead. Although restrictions are due to ease on 22 June we are still awaiting confirmation from AFL Victoria of any changes to our return t...o play protocols for training. We will communicate any update as soon as it comes in. Footys Back Again...Go Wickers

09.01.2022 The BJFC Community wish to extend our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Jono Bishop. Jono was a much loved member of our club starting in U9s and playing through to Under 17s in 2014. He was part of a very successful team within our club. Jono went on to play in a Premiership side with the Berwick Seniors. Our thoughts are with Brad, Mary and everyone who knew and loved Jono

08.01.2022 Dear Members, Given todays announcement from the Victorian State Government and the revised Government restrictions, it is with a heavy heart that we can confirm that the Club will have to cease training as of midnight tomorrow. This is very disappointing for the players who have been training so enthusiastically despite the restrictions.... For teams scheduled to train tomorrow night it will be at the discretion of the Coach whether they choose to run a final training session and each familys choice whether their child attends. AFLSE will be reviewing further updates over the coming days from the Victorian Government in relation to the 2020 junior season. We hope to have further information for you by the end of the week.
