24.01.2022 Members We hope you are all safe and well. AFL South East have provided an update on return to training in the current environment.... Junior Football Clubs are permitted to run sanctioned training from Monday 25th May. AFL VIC and the Health Department have put together protocols which must be followed by each club before any sanctioned training begins. Both the executive and general committee will be involved in online meetings over the next 2 weeks to ensure that we are properly set up, and we can offer the safest environment possible for a return to training. There are several steps we have to take to make sure our players, coaches and volunteers are all aware of the new protocols. As a Club we are hoping to begin sanctioned training the week beginning Monday 1st of June, please be mindful that a return training does not guarantee a return to play. The next update on a return to play will be in the first weeks of June. If you receive club emails attached to that was information on what training will look like and the actions required from the club, players, officials and members. The most important thing for us a club moving forward is to support the wellbeing and safety of our members, and providing a space for us to engage in the safest possible way. As always please reach out to our Club President Tracey if you have any questions or concerns. Go Tornados!

10.01.2022 AFLSE POSITION STATEMENT RETURN TO PLAY Sent to all AFLSE Club Presidents, Secretaries, AFLSE Advisory, Richard Black, AFLSE Management and Staff AFL South Ea...st (AFLSE) would like to take this opportunity to update our much-valued football and netball communities on our position regarding a return to competitive sport in 2020. The regions club's approach to a return to training over the past few weeks has seen strong numbers across junior, senior football and netball and is the first step to returning to competitive sport across the region. Our consistent approach during these unique and challenging times has been to take advice from Federal and State Government, our sporting bodies AFL Victoria/Netball Victoria and to work collaboratively with our clubs to ensure the best path forward. This will remain our approach, and we are fully aware of the importance of a safe environment for all participants involved and the ongoing sustainability of our clubs. Head of AFL South East Richard Black and AFL South East Chief Operating Officer Shaun Connell met with the 22 MPNFL clubs tonight (Wednesday, June 3) where the clubs confirmed to maintain their position to review the status of the 2020 MPNFL football/netball season following the update from the Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews on Sunday, June 21. The clubs will convene following the announcement from the State Premier to consider their position. Consultation with clubs from the Frankston and District Junior Football League (FDJFL), South East Juniors (SEJ), Mornington Peninsula Junior Football League (MPJFL) and South Eastern Women’s Football (SEWF) will also continue, with competitions to be considered independent of the MPNFL process. We thank all member clubs and the community for their patience - and we take a positive approach to see football and netball being played under the AFLSE banner in 2020. Regards AFL South East

07.01.2022 ‘Get In, Train, Get Out’ Hi Members as mentioned in the clubs email communication yesterday the club must strictly adhere by these protocols to return to training. We would be grateful if you could please familiarise yourselves with these. Please understand this does not mean a return to play. The committee are super excited to get the kids out there kicking the ball and having fun ... 05.01.2022 TEAM APP With training resuming this week we would love it if all members could please download Team App. It’s a great tool for coaches and managers to monitor attendance at training by simply viewing who has responded to training events. It’s also a great form of communication from the club to you. Sometimes you miss things on Facebook or get lost in a sea of emails. ... You can register as a parent or as your child and we encourage those kids with smartphones to download it themselves. Download the app and then search for Berwick North JFC Tornados and choose your age group. Please reach out if you need any assistance.

03.01.2022 Dear Members, The decision has been made to cancel training for all teams for the next 2 weeks (school holidays). 02.01.2022 To all the Berwick North members, On behalf of the Executive and General Committee, I would like to thank all the kids, parents and supporters for your ongoing commitment and support that you continue to show for this great club during these trying times. We are so appreciative of you all. On that, on behalf of the Executive and General committee, it saddens me to advise you all that we will be withdrawing Berwick North from any season for 2020. This decision has been made on... the back of the latest announcements as we do not believe that it is fair to our kids to continue to give them false hopes of the season starting under the current circumstances. We also want to make sure that we are doing our part on making sure that our community’s health and wellbeing is protected. In the coming weeks please watch this space as we will be keeping our members as up to date with anything that may unfold to make sure that we are transparent with our members as much as we can be. Its very disappointing that it has come to this, but our families and their wellbeing is a lot more important. Please feel free to contact me, if you would like to discuss this further. Please stay safe. Sincerely, Tracey BNJFC - President
