21.01.2022 Dear prospective Members, At Berwick club we provide a conducive learning environment to individuals how to construct a speech and practice speeches. Making a speech confidently using a structure is paramount for an individual’s growth. We have several experienced members with six to eight-year's experience to demonstrate their craft in public speaking. I have observed how our new members have found their voice and are able to grow in their professions holding leadership and ...management roles. Members are trained to do an evaluation of speeches and to build confidence to build their abilities to provide feedback to members. Providing feedback in itself is a wonderful skill to possess and this ability is also important for your career progression. Club Achievements- Distinguished Toastmasters Masters (DTM) is a huge achievement. Our current president Wayne A’vard was bestowed DTM status in February 2020. Our two other very experienced members Annie Pateman and Stephen Lecky were bestowed DTM in 2019. We celebrate our member’s success and are privileged to have such learned people who have achieved the highest level of success. We have 2-3 speeches every fortnight and given opportunity to provide impromptu responses which equips you to think on your feet. For new prospective members please ascertain what your needs are to improve and what our club can do to meet your needs in a constructive and positive manner. Dharam Singh VPPR See more
