17.01.2022 In equine assisted therapy (EAT) the horse takes on the role of a large biofeedback machine. It provides the client and therapist important insights for achieving goals and working towards self-improvement. For example, if a client is feeling anxious, the horse will act out and respond to this is a certain way. EAT can help the individual build confidence, self- efficiency, communication, trust, perspective, social skills, impulse control, and learn boundaries. Since the horses have similar behaviors with humans, such as social and responsive behaviors, it is easy for the patients to create a connection with the horse.

11.01.2022 Wollumbin cloud catcher is a sacred place to the Bundjalung People. It is the central volcanic remnant of an ancient shield volcano. This volcano is predicted to have been 1,900m above sea level (over twice its current height) it last erupted just a wee 23 million years ago. One of my many personal favourite place to gaze at in this beautiful rainbow region So privileged that I’ve been able to live, work and study in this area since 1998.

02.01.2022 Spending time in the garden and getting to plant new little seeds and seedling after you’ve just added the newly made soil from your own composted veggie scraps, remains of the freshly caught fish, cardboard and lawn clippings is so rewarding.... as much as watching them grow and almost as much as eating fresh out of your garden.
