23.01.2022 Hey Besnek crew. We understand that having kids stuck at home can be pretty crazy during these times, and you’d love them to be up and about doing something physical like jiu jitsu. But for now, we are resigned to online learning. The awesome news is that every week day, Miss Physical Education is running online Health and Physical Education lessons right from the comfort of your own home. Miss PE is an outstanding and engaging teacher who is keen to keep your kids Healthy, happy and engaged in phys Ed. Check her out.

22.01.2022 A few promotions in our kids classes today! In our 4-7 year old Mini Meerkat class both Tyler and Luca got new belts! And Mason received a new belt in our 8+ class. Well done to all that also received stripes today. . . In other news, due to the success of our kids classes, and limited space on the mats, we have also decided to split our Saturday class in two. 4-7 mini meerkats class will be 8:45-9:30 and our 8+ class will be 9:30-10:15. Wednesday: 5:30pm-6:30pm... Saturday: 9am-10am . Kids must be checked into the GymMaster app prior to class starting. No check in, no roll! 19.01.2022 We have some good news. The app is now running to register for our classes!!! Members who were on hold who signed up during the brief opening can sign up automatically. Everybody else has to renew their membership before signing up to a class. Make sure your start date is the 23rd of November when you sign up and you won’t be charged till that particular date but you can still sign up to classes. Classes have limits due to restrictions so bookings are compulsory. Class bookin...gs can be made two weeks in advance but end 24 hours before a class starts. If you are not booked in please do not turn up. You will not be allowed to train. There are no cash payments, everything is paid in the app before you attend. 15.01.2022 Hey fellow Meerkats. There’s been a lot of news surrounding Coronavirus of late. For the safety of all please ensure you only come to class when you are healthy, and that you’re extra careful about being clean! We regularly disinfect our mats and will continue to do so for the safety of our members. We will be remaining open until we are instructed further by offical sources. Until then, don’t panic and keep on rolling. You might not find a toilet roll in the supermarket, but you can definitely get a roll on our mats. Cya tomorrow, and don’t forget our 4-7 Mini Meerkats is 8:45-9:30, and 8+ Meerkats are 9:30-10:15. Adults are 10:15 onwards.

15.01.2022 Dear Members, Parents and Friends, Due to the ongoing uncertainty regarding COVID-19 and the nature of Jiu Jitsu, we have suspended classes until the 1st of April. At the start of April, we will re-assess the situation in Australia and make a further announcement about options moving forward. We will then repeat this process at the Start of May if we have not commenced classes. As we discussed in our meeting, if you wish to cancel your membership, you are welcome to do it o...n the app or please contact us and we will do so immediately. This was the promise to every member when they signed up and we will honour this. As for members who do stay on to support the gym to cover costs while being shut down, we will keep them on the foundation membership prices when we return to running classes. We will not be putting any accounts on hold so any cancelled or new members returning will be subject to new membership prices once we recommence. This is not an attempt to punish members for cancelling but to cover the costs of the current situation we are going through. We are thankful of every member who has supported us over the last 2 years. As mentioned above, if you would like to cancel please do not hesitate as we understand that many people may go through some financial difficulty during this period of the virus. Furthermore, mats are completely off the limits during the close out for fairness to all. Anybody caught using the mats for private rolling will be asked to leave the gym immediately. We have had no cases so far and we would like to remain clean as long as possible. This announcement saddens all of us as for some Besnek Jiu Jitsu is a second home. It is going to be especially hard living without Murat’s trash talk, but it is something that we will have to do. Given that we are not a gym run for profit with many people volunteering to keep it open, it was agreed that training at this time is a risk that we do not wish to take for the sake of our volunteers and members. Our adult membership is also still available for only $120 a month with the opportunity to attend 5 classes a week. Our classes will continue throughout the school holidays. 10.01.2022 Two of our girls competed at Australian Girls in Gi today. It was their first ever competition and they had some tough and experienced competition. But the girls managed to pull off sweeps, guard recoveries, submission escapes and really took it to their competitors. They went into their last fights and Went To War Both of the last fights these girls had were epic and great to watch. 02.01.2022 Kids class returns!! We will be resuming kids' classes from the 24th June 2020. We will run two classes of 10 students, first one being kids between 4-7 and the second one 8+. Both classes will be held on Wednesdays and Saturdays. We will be following strict rules determined by the Government. Parents will not be allowed to stay back to watch and all kids who show any flu like symptoms will not be allowed to train. Kids must wear clean Gis, sanitize thier hands before step...ping on the mats (provided at the gym) and always wear shoes off the mats. The mats will be cleaned daily by coaches. Anybody who wants to resume classes must re-sign on the app and check in 24 hours before they attend a class. It is crucial that you sign up to classes as they are capped to 10 students. The law does not allow us to accept any other kids on the mat.
