24.01.2022 New( second hand, restored) edition to the workshop. Have to admit there were moments I second guessed my choice and thought it was a lemon- truth be known this restoration has taught me both valuable and priceless lessons; from almost full breakdown, upgrade fixings to high tensile, nylock nuts, spingwashers and new HSS blades from the UK. Initial test cuts proved calibration issues, however the first few cuts dimensioning twisted and cupped pine stock exceeded all expectati...ons, while my technique for jointing was a bit off, it did produce exact 90 degree faces with edges so crisp you could cut yourself. Overall, a bit of friggin around but well worth it!! Best $350 buck ever spent!!! Watch this space!!!....

12.01.2022 Randomly- on a Wednesday afternoon- riding the bike home as per usual... Seen some old machines on back I Ute, two old guys talking next to it. Did the double take and the double back- turns out one old fella is an engineer in the printing industry and an avid collector of turn of the century machinery!... Conversation;Intro, context, mutual passion,advice and recommendations. Anyway- recommendation: Mick Moyles Engineering Supplies, Summer Hill. My jaw dropped at the amount and the content- giggling like an idiot- the most comprehensive collection of process machinery and parts I’ve ever seen...... Highly recommend if you need anything to process metal (pulleys, spindles, taps,dies, gears, indexing heads, gauges, belts,chucks,tapers,etc.)... WOW!!!!!!
07.01.2022 We were sad to see this stunning piece leave us at the end of 2018 but so pleased to know its owner thought it’s as beautiful as we did. It’s going into a period home where it will be on display like it deserves. SOLD: lovingly restored deco vintage dresser. This is just a beautiful statement piece!
