25.01.2022 One of my favourite products of the moment is .... ProNourish Natural Balance Fibre. I am achieving some lovely results in my clients who are suffering from Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). This tasteless soluble fibre supplement made from partially hydrolysis guar gum (PHGG) completely dissolves in water & never thickens or swells. In particular, many clients have been able to significantly reduce gas, wind, bloating and abdominal spasms. Can also be used in those who suffe...r with constipation and/ or diarrohea. It is also gluten free and also Low FODMAP certified by Monash University, making it a very versatile product. Is also helpful for people with other gut issues such as #diverticulosis. I usually recommend a start dose of 1Tbspn at night in a glass of water. Can also be added to a water bottle over the day. Please note this is an independent review.

14.01.2022 I have been back at work for the past 2 weeks & realise this is the Year of Health for many. But before we know it, our grand plans vanish as life winds back up. Are you getting in 150 min of moderate (75 min vigorous) activity per week? This is crucial not just for health but also for our mental health. When we physically tire ourselves we get better quality sleep, we wake feeling refreshed & energised, our appetite is better controlled during the next day so we don’t cr...aving high sugar foods. It also helps to lower our blood pressure, improve our lipid profile, lower blood sugar levels & reduce risk of lifestyle diseases such as heart disease, Type 2 diabetes or having a stroke. It also helps give us a bit more wriggle room to maintain our weight and prevent weight gain. The endorphins from a high intensity session rock & give us a nice energy boost to get through the day . Focus on being the fittest YOU! If you aren’t doing any regular activity start slow, grab a like minded friend for accountability, gradually build the frequency, intensity & duration so that it isn’t overwhelming & you don’t get an injury/ flare an existing injury. If you need help consider getting assessed and credible advice from an Exercise Physiologist. They can devise a plan you can follow in your own environment to meet YOUR individual needs. If your goal is to shed some body fat, make sure you obtain accurate advice. You wouldn’t get your car serviced by a Vet. Are you on a protein powder? Do you really need it or are you already meeting your protein needs through your diet? You can only utilise so much protein at a time. Excess protein can lead to fat mass gain. Maybe you just need to spread your protein out over the day via balanced meals & snacks. Do you actually need a bit more quality carb in your diet to build muscle mass as the low carb is causing you to eat muscle mass? You may even benefit from using a nutritionally complete meal replacement? How much petrol does your body need in a day? To lose body fat you need to create an energy deficit. Body composition analysis will assess your individual petrol needs. Then you can actually plan & achieve your goals.
