24.01.2022 Picked up a western red cedar door from the 80s which had awesome silky oak vj boards inserted. The back of the door when I picked it up still had those childhood scribbles of forever love for the girl crush that passed him by. These days its on a different path in my workshop. 19.01.2022 Upcycled 90s era cabinet hit the streets recently with its new modern dark form, flanked in devils cloak red and matt black to contrast its sealed exposed raw timber colours... seems only fitting that it was snapped up by a young talented metal musician and now resides in his personal recording studio.

17.01.2022 Was given a timber bowl, my logic was to paint it scruff it up and add these little terracotta debris that I picked up from outside a brick refinery and add hand made electrical tape leaves to mix in with the saw dust.

Picked up this broken round table from a recycle yard tucked away in a corner for a few years, fixed it up and gave it a new life for the pop culture generation to reclaim as its own. 15.01.2022 The council painted my wall so Im off to a new location but this is my view on compact modern rustic living, its a smooth Matt finish chunky Cyprus slab kitchen table tipped with Matt black, perfect for a couple in a modern appartment. Full turned cedar legs with 300mm Jesus nails driven into so no sides keeping it sharp and to the point. 100% recycled materials. One of my favorite builds. 13.01.2022 Had a retrospective weekend on life and death. Suicide is close to home for myself and many others I know. Having a life long friend take his own life in a similar act, I made this lamp for awareness to the dark places we find ourselves in at times in life. The slung rope touching the tree branch is still full of life and in full bloom. The other branches are lifeless with just a single leaf which is hope, a spark. The lessons learnt the hardest way give me a clearer view of my own life and choices. Think wisely, be aware, everyone can climb and everyone can fall. . His choices make me continue climbing. He taught me to cross the lines I shouldnt because the possibilities are endless. Michael X

The Australian hardwood made for an excellent slab top full of rustic blemishes to contrast the modern Matt black finish to its turned leg base design. 10.01.2022 -check. Hitting the streets. A Silky oak pantry door was removed from a house renovation I was on so I took it underground, cut it up, licked it with Matt black and gave it some legs. 10.01.2022 Now available on the website www.bespokenabout.com Recently was working on the new TRYP hotel renovation in the valley and I salvaged some Australian spotted gum boards from the hardwood stairs we installed, the results are these bespokenabout entertainment platters. They come in sets of two. I carved in my recycled X and glossed black and skirted the perimeter giving the materials new life and a modern edge for the entertainers out there. 13 sets available.

08.01.2022 This charming silky oak vj door came into my possession shrouded in this beautiful western red cedar frame, I wanted to keep the rustic charm for this desk and make the top stand alone. I turned slim pin legs and glossed black to give it the look of height and only skirted the sides to keep a stream lined wrap around flow. Detailed gloss black fills the V lines to modernize and make the timber colours pop. The under side received Suddenly Sapphire blue paint on the panels to ...surprise anyone who dared to inspect it further. All colours flow into a stand out desk for a modern environment. To bring the tempo back down I created this Sloth Light Piece to see out the year, represented the surreal feeling I was having as I was free falling into 2015 with its presented possibilities and potential. 01.01.2022 Back in early 2013 was living in between places with friends unravelling my 20s and the lessons learnt and the lessons I had gained, it was this point that things were clicking together and I set off on a new journey. The innocence of my thoughts created spoke louder than my words spoken. I made this for someone who made me see outside the box. Been a fun journey since. Bespoke life X
