20.01.2022 This is crazy, we are still trying to fill this position. We can only hope that whoever gets elected this weekend will focus on the lack of qualified tradespeople in Tasmania. We are not the only local business in this situation of not being able to fill positions. Please share

Thanks to Vernham Building for the re-roofing work, Darron for all the long hours doing the huge job of re-cladding and to the guys that lent a hand where they could. What an amazing transformation. 01.01.2022 This is so frustrating having a huge skill shortage (not only in our industry but in many others) that we can not fill our position. People say keeps jobs local, employ locals but it is so hard for people to have their work done locally at competitive rates when small businesses can not find qualified employees and can not afford to compete with the over inflated pay rates being offered by the major employer in this city. Its a bit late for the government to acknowledge ...the skill shortage and try to band aid the problem, we need qualified people now!
