A big thank you to all who contributed to the donate a plate Christmas appeal. EMPR was able to donate close to 70 plates which is a huge achievement in 10 days! Your contribution to "Donate a Plate created the best and happiest Christmas party in Australia. Wayside Chapel shut the street and created one long table at which everyone had a place and everyone was welcome. Beautifully presented food was served with dignity and with warmth. While most charities closed over the Christmas and New Year period, Wayside was open every day. Your generosity to "Donate a Plate" meant their generosity continued right through this period. Thank you for making this world a kinder, more humane place.

08.01.2022 Recently there have been a re-resurgence of computer scams, masquerading as IT software. The software will pop up a message saying that there is a problem with your computer. Something like your CPU is in danger of failing, or that you should call a particular telephone number for IT Support. They promptly advise that you need to either download and install software that gives them remote access to your computer, or that your computer has a virus and you need to buy and install their software. These are usually 'frauds', intended to gain access to your money (buy something you don't need), computer records; banking, email, or financial accounts. Don't be deceived. Your chances of getting our money back from off shore bank transfers is next to zero. Deal with local people who have been working locally for years.
