18.01.2022 HAPPY NEW YEAR!! What a year it has been! 2020 has certainly been an unforgettable year, and goes down in Perth Rescue Angels history as our busiest and ...most successful year yet! Lets take a look at what we have achieved... 2265 cats and kittens adopted into new homes. That's a 68% increase on 2019. Three dogs have also found their forever homes in 2020. 2350 cats and kittens have been brought into care with Perth Rescue Angels throughout the year. We currently have 571 cats and kittens in care across 185 volunteer foster carers. If you're looking to adopt a new family member, please view our photo albums for animals available for adoption. Despite not being able to hold our usual weekly adoption events throughout the year, 424 cats and kittens found their new families at one of our adoption events. A huge THANKYOU to PETstock, Better Pets and Gardens, Petbarn, Cat Haven WA, My Pet Warehouse and many more of our valued sponsors for hosting us. 12% of adoptions in 2020 were 'foster fails' where one of our dedicated foster carers has decided to welcome their foster into their homes forever. These are just a small snapshot of the measurable statistics for 2021. There are many things that are impossible to measure. We have immeasurable gratitude for our partnered veterinary clinics, Best Friends' Family Vet Centre, Paws & More Vet Centre, Yangebup-Beeliar Vet Clinic, Mosman Park Veterinary Hospital and Yanchep Veterinary Clinic & Animal Hospital. We are two fluffy, chonky little boys who are looking for our forever home. We came into the care of the Angels when we were just 3 days old, after our mummy was sadly hit by a car. Our foster mummy has helped us grow big and strong (a little too big if you ask her... ) and now we are finally ready to start the next chapter of our lives. We are your typical fat cats, we love laying around and can usually be found passed out on our backs, which our foster mummy loves because it means she can poke our bellies! We love cuddles and have the loudest purrs, snuggling is definitely one of our favourite past times but we do enjoy playing and running around with each other as well. We love being together and are never far apart so our foster mum thinks it would be great if someone wanted to adopt us together, because apparently people sometimes do that - cool right?! We haven’t met any adult cats before, only kittens, and we’ve only briefly met a dog - but our foster mum says because we are so young we will adjust just fine to living with other animals with a slow introduction. To help prevent the endless cycle of unwanted kittens, we are offering FREE sterilisation of female cats who currently have, or are about to have, kittens. To qualify: ALL kittens in the litter MUST be surrendered Kittens must stay with their mother until 8 weeks of age and are able to eat solid food; whether this be with you, or in the temporary care of one of our dedicated foster carers. All kittens will be sterilised, microchipped, vaccinated and flea and worm treated before being adopted out to their forever homes We offer this service completely free of judgment or assumptions. 06.01.2022 To all our clients, friends and general Byford community. Unfortunately, we have recently seen a couple of dogs with Parvovirus. We currently have a beautiful girl in our care and are working around the clock to ensure she makes it through. The family live in our area and walk regularly around the Glades especially the IGA. Parvovirus is an extremely contagious and potentially deadly virus that causes profuse vomiting and diarrhoea. For those that live in the area we are are asking that you please check that your dogs are fully vaccinated and if they aren't please phone us to arrange an appointment. If your puppy or dog is not fully vaccinated then please phone ahead so we can arrange to have your dog vaccinated in your car.
