24.01.2022 Expensive Towels to the Rescue! What do you do when the detailers give you a car with soaking wet front seats? And you REALLY need them to be dry by tomorrow morning? You think a little bit. ... Then you carefully unwrap your birthday present and put brand new thick MIMCO towels on the seat... and then you jump and jump on it, pressing with all your weight! P.S. Hope my friend won't see this post. She is already under impression that I'm wasting my "talent" (LOL, I didn't know I had one, but thanks) on selling cars. If she finds out I'm also wasting new MIMCO towels (with tags!) on used vehicles, she may not like it!

23.01.2022 Delica D5 becomes more popular! It was always hard to buy a nice D5 with under 100,000km at the auctions in Japan, now it's like mission impossible. PRICES. ARE. JUST. THROUGH. THE. ROOF!... Everyday we miss by around 5-7k on safely coloured (white or silver w black interior), 4B graded D5s. TODAY, I decided to play a different game Bidding on this OLIVE/ MILITARY colour 2007 POWER pack with 126,000km and cream leather. I know, it's very risky but I need one in my stock under 15k registered and with warranty. What are your thoughts on the colour (of the seats )?

23.01.2022 A few months ago I had a call from my two times Estima customers Terry and Kim in the Northern Beaches in Sydney. Kim, one of those people that STAND FOR WHAT THEY STAND ON, needed a small electric car + a sizeable boot for her eco furniture business. We brainstormed together and the planets aligned on a Prius. Igor was wingeing for almost a month trying to find a good one, but it was worth it.... LET ME PRESENT! 2012 Toyota Prius Plug In Hybrid (available under the new import laws) with 44,500km and a fabulous 4,5B grade. Silver. The interior is so immaculate, it will last a few more presidential elections if looked after. The brief was under 100,000km and 20k max and we landed it at $18,500 + GST. Hahaha, not very good from a business point of view but the car is AWESOME and it was a great learning experience. NOW WE KNOW: 1) We DO need to get a 70-80,000km Prius to fit it under 20k comfortably. (17k is also doable if mileage is 100k and just above) 2) Brand new cables for charging are compulsory as the original ones don’t work here. $400 from Oz, $450 from NZ. 3) We need a certain Prius spec - G- to get a smart cabin + heated seats + reverse camera + electric drivers seats (like this one) 4) The silent electric mode is Halloween scary for me: I kept panicking and thinking the engine died. Hey, after a few drives, you adapt to everything! P.S. Igor says he wouldn't mind to drive one around Kirrawee as it’s so quiet, it helps him with hearing problem + no petrol needed. Win, win. 22.01.2022 GENUINE OR FAKE MILEAGE? HOW TO VERIFY When shopping for a fab people mover ex Japan, be aware of the widespread haircut phenomenon at importers car yards and private sellers. Haircutting is illegal odo tampering to maximize profit and outsell competition. These are 3 easy steps to avoid getting a vehicle with a doctored mileage.... 1. Start by asking the seller if they have any original paperwork from Japan, namely Export Certificate and Auction Report. Ask about the auction grade of the vehicle. This will show that youre aware of the problem. 2. Make sure the pink compliance plate is already on the car (if you open front passenger side door, you should see it straight away) so you can check that the VIN number is the same as on the paperwork. 3. Check areas that are most prone to wear and tear such as the steering wheel, pedals and floor mats. Good quality JDM cars are immaculate and have minimal wear and tear even above 100,000km. 20.01.2022 #estimazing My Clazzio steering + 19in hot wheels + SUNROOFS marvel just arrived! Racing spirit packaged in a massive MPV body... Overall it's in top condition, doesn't smell cigarettes (phew!) and drives beautifully yet hard through the bumps and humps. Coilovers? It's was a very risky enterprise: this 4,5B E51 Rider with low mileage cost the same money as a high mileage E52 and I thought I might be stuck with it for a while. Fortunately, I'm not the only one who would pay money for high quality + immaculate condition + so many cool features and it was sold from water.... Is it a FAIR PRICE for this particular machine? I think so. Today we're bidding on my favourite E51 model - 300 series (I can never resist the idea of a limited edition (2010) and that contrasting stitch on the leather! :) It has done 27,024km only and what's truly amazing is its auction grade - 4,5A. I can't remember when I saw last such a high grade on a 10 year old vehicle (even with a low mileage). 3,5L V6, 8 seats, full black leather, proximity, 360 cameras, drop down DVD, radar cruise control, sliding auto doors, Xenon, heated front seats. He was probably the only Camaro owner in Russia in the end of 90s. And he was very popular among the girls because of that car. His young wife didnt like that. And some cover underneath the steering was a bit loose (after custom's inspections), they've tightened it. ... Drives awesome now! 05.01.2022 8am this morning. I spotted my customer Sure (who drives the identical 2013 pearl white Estima, my evil twin) at the set of traffic lights on Kingsway. I stopped right next to her in the adjacent lane and tried to catch up on the fly. With my biggest smile on, I opened the window and waved. But Sure was very busy. She was putting her lipstick on and she was really into it.... I waited and waved again. Nope. I was thinking to beep but didn't want her to get scared and smudge. 03.01.2022 Race Ready Rider Look who's just arrived to the party! Love its clean black leather seats (I don't think people were sitting on them: either fairies or no one) and non smoking interior. 8 airbags is a bonus!... Red steering wheel is .... debatable . It's not the colour, it's more the shape of it that makes me wonder... Black grille needs to be resprayed. So, stay tuned for more info when I'm ready.

03.01.2022 $1,745 fine on my birthday! For mobile phone usage while driving. I was so shocked, I couldn't even understand if it was my rego number or not (by that time I was slowed down by a shot of whiskey to my health and happiness).... I was staring at the fine for a VERY long time until I saw the place of offence. Coffs Harbour!!! PHEW 3! I've never been there. Definitely not me*. Feel very sorry for my customers, although they will pay 5 times less as "privates". I'm a "corporation" and my fines are big and fat. Need to drop off notice of disposals sooner to avoid unnecessary stress.. * Went back to celebratory mode.

03.01.2022 TOYOTA PARADISE! My sore back and a 2005 Estima's front seat a match made in Toyota's Paradise... I was driving this baby home from the compliance shop the other day and it finally made sense why Igor kept raving about those seats and saying they're the best.... 2004-2005 Estima driver's seats are so comfy, they're hugging and supporting you from every angle. I'm definitely not getting the same level of care from my GSR50, which is almost 10 years younger. I keep adjusting my seat all the time and can't find the good position. Disclaimer: had to steal a Minion cushion toy from my friend's daughter to support my right elbow for our trip to Orange* It's amazing how the design got worse through the years! Estima owners, have you had a chance to notice this? Are you happy with your driver's seats? P.S. If you like this car... sorry, it's PRE-SOLD and stays in the Shire * I am Intending to give it back once I get my own Minion :)

02.01.2022 2011 MMC DELICA shipped to Lismore With the "Russian Vaccine" on board! First time ever we were not able to code genuine + brand new proximity key ex Japan. ... (My husband rolls his eyes: Mitsubishi! He doesn't believe this can happen a Toyota or Nissan) The only option was to take the BCM out and do it directly from the car's computer. I offered to cover the cost, but my customer Walter didn't want to wait... The car left today with the master key and a non-working new one... Anyway, I've sent a refund and as an apology I've included a bottle of fine Russian Beluga + new 4 x 4 magazine. Not too sure what exact upgrades have been done underneath compared to 08-09 Series 3. All I know it drives Million Dollars and I its new updated leather interior with the white stitch! Looks ACE.... This 2010 Highway Star has 27,000km on the clock and comes with: BOSE SUNROOFS Near new PIRELLI tyres Drop Down DVD Proximity Entry and Start + AUTO Doors + 360 Cameras as factory standard Registering tonight and delivering next Tuesday.
