22.01.2022 Some fitness personalities will say not to measure your weight when trying to lose it, but measure your dress sizes instead. I agree in not placing significant focus on your weight (as it fluctuates daily and represents so much more than just what you eat and burn), but I do believe in keeping track of it, especially if you have a bit of weight to lose. Of course you could be putting on heavier muscle while working out and therefore adding more weight to the scales, but if you’re losing fat, the fat loss should outweigh the muscle increase, and it’s a tangible way to know you’re making progress. Do you track your weight?
