When you visit our beautiful city, I want you to have the chance to taste the sensational coffee and food from the amazing local businesses in Cairns. I want you to know the secrets that only Cairns locals know and some lucky visitors who stumble onto them.

05.01.2022 So lets start with the best coffee in Cairns. If I am travelling, an awesome coffee like the one that I get at these cafes is a must. Visit any one of these and you won't be disappointed. Cruze Coffee - 105 Grafton Street Gil and Rhi and the team will take you on a coffee journey around the world. Pick a coffee that they have roasted on site and they will make it fresh and delicious. Prepare to laugh and enjoy the banter while you are there.... Sipping Duck - 25 Johnston St, Stratford QLD Eric and Fi have an industrial themed café near Stratford and a 'must stop'' on any drive north of the Cairns airport. The Coffee is super smooth and their passion for making good coffee second to none. Blackbird Coffee - Shop 13 Oceana Walk 62 Grafton St Troy and the team have set up an incredible little café hidden away in the Oceanic Walk, but well worth seeking out. Troy is a passionate barista and the coffee is spot on every time. There are 4-5 varieties to choose from and you won't be disappointed. Billy's Coffee - Rusty's Market, Sheridan Street Billy has a open bench style coffee bar tucked in the back corner of Rusty's market that is open Friday to Sunday and a Café called the 'Çrate' on Sheridan Street opposite First Choice Liquor. Strong smooth coffee every day, just watch for the steady trail of locals. If you like to people watch, Billy's on a Sunday morning will not disappoint. Cairns is blessed with an awesome amount of cafés for a small provincial city, but if you visit any of these, you will be mixing with the locals, meeting the characters of Cairns and enjoying some of the best coffee that Cairns has to offer.
