25.01.2022 B1G1 UPDATES OCTOBER GIVING Sustainable Development Goal #4 - QUALITY EDUCATION 1. We provided 8 days of skill development training for a teacher in Bangalore.... 2. We provided access to 240 days of education for children in a pop-up school in Indonesia. 3. We have given 365 days of access to improved schools and learning opportunities in Madagascar. NOVEMBER GIVING Sustainable Development Goal #2 - ZERO HUNGER 1. We were able to give 20 nourishing meals to homeless people in South Africa. 2. We provided 80 meals for students in Ethiopia. 3. With your help, we were able to rescue 100 meals for the hungry. As always, we have only been able to partner with B1G1 and their community because you all continue to support our business! The ACCC's Scamwatch has received multiple reports of phishing scams sent via email or text message impersonating the World Health Organization, government authorities, and legitimate businesses, including travel agents and telecommunications companies. Other scams include falsely selling coronavirus-related products online, using fake emails or text messages to try and obtain personal data, and investment scams claiming coronavirus has created financial opportunities. With more consumers and businesses using online platforms it is important to take steps to protect you and your business from scams. These can include: never respond to unsolicited messages and calls that ask for personal or financial details keep your computer’s anti-virus and anti-spyware software up-to-date, use a good firewall, and only buy computer and anti-virus software from a reputable source back-up important data such as customer details and financial information using an external USB or cloud storage service use strong and unique passphrases, not passwords ensure your staff are trained and aware of potential threats. https://broomechamber.com.au/events/

19.01.2022 Some very valuable lesson’s learnt this week in the Cybersecurity workshop presented by Matt from Best It and Business Solutions. It was very much a shock to a...ll of us when Matt showed us just how easy it is for scammers to infiltrate our regular emails and cause havoc. This video shows an example of one of the attendees being made aware that their email had been hacked, when and where. Safe to say we all rushed home after this and changed our passwords to something more robust than our dog's name followed by the year! Thank you to all that attended we hope that this was a valuable opportunity for all. Stay tuned for the next workshop being announced soon!

12.01.2022 We have created our first Giving Story for B1G1! When we sell a laptop, we are providing 7 days of computer education to children in need by providing access to an E-learning Hub for Aboriginal Communities. For June, with your help, we were able to provide 49 days of computer education to children in need via this giving story! On top of this, each month I choose a new Sustainable Developmental Goal. This month was GOAL 16: PEACE, JUSTICE AND STRONG INSTITUTIONS... Access to justice for all, and building effective, accountable institutions at all levels. The two projects that we chose were; 1. Fight Inequality by Empowering Education. We have provided 156 days of tuition classes to disadvantaged girls in Cambodia. 2. Give Life Skills and Moral Education. 07.01.2022 Through our partnership with B1G1 - Business For Good, and the support of our loyal customers, we were able to create a total of 269 impacts! For July, the Sustainable Development Goal we chose was NO POVERTY. Project 1 : Train a Farmer in Sustainable Farming. Best IT supported 100 days of access to training in sustainable farming.... Project 2 : Build a Home in the Philippines. We were able to provide 120 days of housing for disadvantaged families in the Philippines.

Matt & Zoe were unable to attend as they are at the final night of the pentathlon for Kyle Andrews Foundation Inc - DID YOU SEE THAT AN AMAZING $70,000 WAS RAISED OVER THE WEEK??!! - but they wanted to extend a heartfel...t thank you for being selected and were so excited when I sent them a message to let them know that they won! Best IT and Business Solutions celebrated 17years this year and we could not have made it this far without the support of the Broome community and our amazing team at Best. It’s been an uncertain time for all businesses this year, but this year has given our business the opportunity to grow and find new innovative ways to service our clients changing needs and provide education on growing threats & new technology. Our motto in the office is "Work Smarter, Not Harder".
