25.01.2022 One more day and we’ll be done!

20.01.2022 This morning’s body weight workout comprised of: 3 sets @ 15 reps - sumo squats - Narrow squats - Curtsy lunges (each side)... - Pulsing lunge (each side) - Pushups - Toe Taps - bicycles Give it a go and let me know how it went!

19.01.2022 Isolation doesn’t mean that we can’t go outside....it just means we can’t interact with others outside our family. This is perfect for hubby and I as we love to go for a run by ourselves...no talking, no interaction with each other let alone anyone else Just so happens our little run today ended up being 15km!!! Body felt good, breathing felt good, so why not just keep going!! Fastest 10km... Longest distance 15km See more

19.01.2022 This has been my breakfast for a while now. Packed in protein, tastes yum and easy as!

18.01.2022 This year I started to get back in to my running and quickly got up to a decent distance and a reasonable time! Then I developed lower back soreness and COVID hit meaning my teaching gig had me working behind a laptop sitting pretty much all day, impacting my hip flexors, lower back, hamstrings and core. With some pretty intensive Myotherapy, Physiotherapy and Pilates and rehab exercises at home I have had a breakthrough this week!... I am back to deadlifting and got a 65kg lift and back in the treadmill clocking 5.5km as my best. These are not huge numbers by any means but when you couldn’t sneeze without feeling like you were going to break your back I’ll take the wins!!! So my advice is no matter what...to just keep going, believe me I know it’s hard and can hurt sometimes and it may feel like there is no end in sight, but take it day by day and most importantly celebrate the wins!!!

17.01.2022 Today’s 2.5 hour workout involved lots of squats, lunges, lateral lunges and core....oh and deck staining!

14.01.2022 Today’s workout consisted of: 10 sets of 10: - assisted resistance band pull-ups - push ups ... 3 sets of 20 - Dead bugs - oblique crunched THAT’S it!!! Believe me this killed....particularly the movement from one plane to another as I am experiencing lower back difficulties. Do not disregard the movement between one exercise and another...it definitely has a cumulative effect!

13.01.2022 So after a week of running every day on the treadmill, hubby and I went out for an outdoor run...was planning on doing 5km but finished up with 15.3km...my longest run this year and something I hadn’t even thought about since March! Amazing what the mind can push you to do

13.01.2022 Today’s killer full body workout courtesy of a sledgehammer and a cement slab!

09.01.2022 This morning’s early morning walk was a little chilly

06.01.2022 Last lockdown I ate and drank way too much and became complacent with daily habits of intentional movement. This lockdown will be different! Already up and about for an early morning walk and a planned bodyweight workout when I get home.

03.01.2022 This week I set myself a challenge to run every day and have managed between 4-6km daily. It doesn’t matter that I’m not covering huge distances, what matters is the discipline and consistency and that I said I would do what I challenged myself to do!

03.01.2022 This week I have managed to run my longest distance in about 4 years and I’ve also managed to beat my 5km time not once but TWICE!! Achieving goals are great, but don’t stay there....you’ve climbed one mountain, go climb another one that’s just a little bit higher ... push yourself to do just that little bit more!

02.01.2022 Over this weekend I’ve clocked 18 km under my belt. I had my longest distance 12km. I had my fastest 1km. I also had my fastest 10km.... Slowly but surely I’m building endurance and coming to terms with this running thing!
