24.01.2022 Update on post below A lot of people assume because this was all voted for yesterday that they can now go straight to their gp then chemist to access Ca...nnabis, this is not the case, While it passed the Senate with no objection, we have a long way to go in convincing the Government's Health Minister this should be legislated. It again shows the cogs of parliament turn too slow for the people of this country! IT’S TIME THEY STOPPED MESSING WITH PEOPLES LIVES & DO A POSTAL VOTE. Small steps are better than none at all THANK YOU SENATORS VOTE PASSED IN THE AUSTRALIAN SENATE All members of the Australian senate voted YES today to move cannabis medicine from schedule 8 to schedule 4 under the Therapeutic Goods Association - Poisons Act. This means (after it passes the lower house which it will) cannabis medicine will no longer be a CONTROLLED drug, and will be classed the same as other prescription medicine such as antibiotics and antihistamines etc. ANY Medical Doctor in Australia will be able to prescribe cannabis medicine. EVERY chemist in Australia will be able to sell it. AND THE FEDERAL AND STATE GOVERNMENTS NO LONGER ARE REQUIRED TO APPROVE SOMEONE GETTING IT. This removes the bureaucracy of the state governments who have been intentionally restricting cannabis medicine from getting to the sickest people. Once again I would like to say a big thanks to Pauline, Steve, James & the rest of One Nation for your continued support to my family and everyone in this Cannabis community.
