21.01.2022 Now this is how to teach your dog to love bath time! - fruit is good for dogs: just leave out all nuts, avocados, all members of the grape family (that includes dried grapes) and apple or pear cores (their pips contain cyanide). So will your your dogs next bath be a canine spa session?

21.01.2022 BREED OF THE MONTH: the Dogue de Bordeaux - What's my Scene? Although a member of the mastiff family, the Dogue de Bordeaux does enjoy activity, as long as it doesn't put too much strain on their breathing. Activities such as a walk together (perhaps a short bushwalk in approved National Parks), with breaks and a drink of water for you and your Dogue, or playing 'soccer' together (you kick a soccer or similar ball around, and your dog chases it), or doggie playdates with suitable friends would all give them exercise, time with you and make them one happy Dogue!

21.01.2022 BREED OF THE MONTH: Dogue de Bordeaux - Did you know ...? Along with the Dogue's signature calm temperament comes stubbornness, self-confidence and a tendency to dominate. Socialization and patient positive training are a must. Start earlyit's easier to train a puppy than a DDB who may be bigger (and certainly stronger) than you are.

12.01.2022 BREED OF THE MONTH: The Chihuahua - Whats My Scene? The ideal lapdog, the Chihuahua loves to cuddle up with its favourite person (yes, these dogs unashamedly have favourites!), soaking up affection and returning it in kind. But while they dont need a lot of exercise, theyre too intelligent to simply lounge around all the time. A a lively walk or trip to a suitable park to play with canine friends, as well as some mental stimulation (every dog loves to show off its cleverness!), will help to make this a happy little dog. Best Paw Forward recommends some basic training to stimulate their little grey cells!
