21.01.2022 Sharing a Win! I DIDN'T CRY when I was told that during the heat treatment (imminent death to stinky bugs) in Japan, a huge container door smashed into our low mileage 2010 Estima AWD and damaged it to a point of no return. High winds have been blamed. TBH, I somehow totally missed this car and had no idea we had it in Japan. ... It was one good car, though... series 2 AWD with just 41,000km and sought after dark grey velour. Hard to find. Oh well, this one is a goner, moving on. If you're after AWD Estima S2, we have one arriving mid April. It comes with a powered disability seat in the middle row (to make it easier for elderly people or people with bad knees, etc). 21.01.2022 A few months ago I had a call from my two times Estima customers Terry and Kim in the Northern Beaches in Sydney. Kim, one of those people that STAND FOR WHAT THEY STAND ON, needed a small electric car + a sizeable boot for her eco furniture business. We brainstormed together and the planets aligned on a Prius. Igor was wingeing for almost a month trying to find a good one, but it was worth it.... LET ME PRESENT! 2012 Toyota Prius Plug In Hybrid (available under the new import laws) with 44,500km and a fabulous 4,5B grade. Silver. The interior is so immaculate, it will last a few more presidential elections if looked after. The brief was under 100,000km and 20k max and we landed it at $18,500 + GST. Hahaha, not very good from a business point of view but the car is AWESOME and it was a great learning experience. NOW WE KNOW: 1) We DO need to get a 70-80,000km Prius to fit it under 20k comfortably. (17k is also doable if mileage is 100k and just above) 2) Brand new cables for charging are compulsory as the original ones don’t work here. $400 from Oz, $450 from NZ. 3) We need a certain Prius spec - G- to get a smart cabin + heated seats + reverse camera + electric drivers seats (like this one) 4) The silent electric mode is Halloween scary for me: I kept panicking and thinking the engine died. Hey, after a few drives, you adapt to everything! P.S. Igor says he wouldn't mind to drive one around Kirrawee as it’s so quiet, it helps him with hearing problem + no petrol needed. Win, win. Ksenia would always give it all I remember we were driving past the brand-new glamorous AUDI dealership in Moore Park when she was about 4 years old. ... KSENIA (enchanted): What is this place, Mummy? They have so many lights! ME (casually): Audi. It’s a dealership. They also sell cars. KSENIA (sobbing till the end of the day): Why? Why their dealership is SO pretty?! Can we move in there pleeeease?

14.01.2022 Premium mechanic gloves! No kidding! Today, for International Women's Day, I got myself a box of 50 "The Automotive Industry PREMIUM CHOICE GLOVES"!... Hahaha In black. I was too lazy to take a picture of the box, but it looks very upmarket, in black and gold. Cost me billions dollars too. 2 D5 filters and this box = $110. But who cares about the price when it's 100% free of nasties and... drum roll... has a textured grip! I'm one happy girl right now. Also in the news My 2013 Series 3 Estima Aeras left for its new family in Bankstown. 14.01.2022 GENUINE OR FAKE MILEAGE? HOW TO VERIFY When shopping for a fab people mover ex Japan, be aware of the widespread haircut phenomenon at importers car yards and private sellers. Haircutting is illegal odo tampering to maximize profit and outsell competition. These are 3 easy steps to avoid getting a vehicle with a doctored mileage.... 1. Start by asking the seller if they have any original paperwork from Japan, namely Export Certificate and Auction Report. Ask about the auction grade of the vehicle. This will show that you’re aware of the problem. 2. Make sure the pink compliance plate is already on the car (if you open front passenger side door, you should see it straight away) so you can check that the VIN number is the same as on the paperwork. 3. Check areas that are most prone to wear and tear such as the steering wheel, pedals and floor mats. Good quality JDM cars are immaculate and have minimal wear and tear even above 100,000km. 13.01.2022 Race Ready Rider Look who's just arrived to the party! Love its clean black leather seats (I don't think people were sitting on them: either fairies or no one) and non smoking interior. 8 airbags is a bonus!... Red steering wheel is .... debatable . It's not the colour, it's more the shape of it that makes me wonder... Black grille needs to be resprayed. So, stay tuned for more info when I'm ready.

05.01.2022 Got new stock today! Somehow this brand new 2020 Toyota Alphard wasn't among my new arrivals We got two Elgrands S3 and two Estimas + 4 more Elgrands are coming tomorrow.... Also got to test drive a 2012 Prius today. Such a cutie pie but very scary experience after driving a V6. The silence during the drive was deafening, I thought I was losing power.. And then some noises, when you brake.. and when you take off I really want to look after the planet, but I doubt I can drive a Prius. What about you?
