19.01.2022 The 3 meals a day model started during the industrial revolution when we went out onto farms, hard labouring jobs and other taxing duties and the work day became or more structured time period. Lunch then came about as a period to rest a little after hours of long hard work and as a means to give some energy and sustenance to be able to optimise the work later in the day. Dinner rounded the day out as this was the most commonly eaten meal through human history and evolution.... A time to give thanks together as a family for what the day has been able to provide us... On Caveman days this was literally whatever was dragged back to camp to be cooked . Now there are nuances to why Breakfast then got called "the most important meal of the day" which I won't go into today, but needless to say it isn't based on any real evidence. Nowadays fasting is becoming the new fad for just about everything from losing weight to extending your life.. But the science on parts of this are actually pretty solid. We should have periods of not eating and letting the body go without food. So what the right choice? In the end it's going to come down to your goals and your preferences. As long as you know your macronutrient/ calorie targets for your goals. Base your food preferentially around meat, fruits and vegetables then timing of food barely matters. Some days you might skip breakfast and just eat later in the day.. some days a big breakfast may me on the menu so you eat lighter through the day... In the end a consistent pattern does seem to have the most overall benefits to success.. but like anything if you change it up from time to time it's not the end of the world. And as a simple tool...if you usually eat 3 meals a day... If you just remove one and don't add more food to the others... This is the simplest way to create a calorie deficit to lose weight

15.01.2022 Many people have told me that Gyms aren't essential, when for many people they really are an essential service. When Your plumbing breaks you call a plumber. Y...our car Breaks down you go to the mechanic. You want to get Fit and Healthy you also need professionals. The ability to help people prevent or minimise many of these lifestyle related issues. When you look at the statistics of the biggest burdens on our health care stystem you realise that most of these things can be reduced with better nutrition and regular exercise. Gyms, personal Trainers, Coaches and teachers of all types of fitness from bodybuilding and CrossFit to Dancing and Martial Arts are all essential Services.
