19.01.2022 This morning I got a call from one of the neighbours on a Development in Redlynch. Our Project sign had become airborne as a result of significant winds in the area overnight. When I arrived on site to secured the sign I noticed that the property had also had a tree come down which prompted me to think of another fantastic local business. MPDT have completed tree removal for me on 3 occasions; a major commercial site, residential & Arborist report required for Developments.... 04.01.2022 As the rain came pouring down in Cairns over the weekend I thought about Inclement Weather and Contracts. In the past a typical rain day included a notification to my Client or Clients Representative with Bureau Of Meteorology Rainfall, supporting photos & a list of Construction tasks delayed on site. Now as a Subcontractor it is important to complete these same tasks. I cannot stress enough to Subcontractors how important it is to follow the contract and notify on all dela...ys including inclement weather. At the end of the Contract you will require proof of Extensions of Time to explain your delayed completion. Without it you are running the risk of Liquidated Damages.
