16.01.2022 Today, the 29th of Tammuz, marks Yom Jabotinsky, the 80th anniversary of Ze’ev Jabotinsky’s passing, a national holiday in Israel set to commemorate and learn about the achievements of Jabotinsky. This year more than any other, Betarim around the world are able to identify with Jabotinsky's messages regarding resilience in the face of hardship. His words and ideas continue to inspire a new generation of Betarim, growing in character, proud of their culture and heritage, with ...the passion to fight for what they believe in. May his memory be blessed Tel Chai

14.01.2022 To our wonderful community, We would like to update you on our plans regarding Federal Camp 2021. As expected, due to COVID19, the camp season will look very different this year, and we are saddened to announce that Fed Camp 2021 will not be going ahead in its usual format. We understand there will be a lot of disappointment surrounding this decision, but we feel as though this is the most responsible course of action. We are however excited to let you know we are working o...n alternative camps that will be filled with everything that fed camp usually has to offer, run in each state. Each Sniff (Queensland, New South Wales & Melbourne) will be releasing dates, sign ups and additional information very soon so keep an eye out and make sure you sign up to ensure you and your children don’t miss out on this incredible experience! We have missed you all so very much and cannot wait to reunite with all of our chanichim, new and old, and bring back that ruach (spirit) that we have been holding in all year. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact the current Federal Camp Roshim on the phone numbers below: Hannah Rosenberg 0451 197 533 Hili Shiponi 0466 266 148 You can also contact our Head of Betar Australia, for more general matters; Eli Libson 0474 148 860 Tel Chai!

13.01.2022 Really proud of our Melbourne Betarim for taking part in this incredible initiative!

11.01.2022 Betar Australia mourns the passing of Rabbi Lord Jonathan Sacks. Yesterday the world lost one of humanity’s most passionate educators, a great icon of Jewish thought, a person who was among the wisest in living memory. May his memory be a blessing and may his legacy continue to build bridges between nations.

08.01.2022 Today is the second day of our Bogrim seminar, where our senior madrichim get together to discuss the future of Betar Australia and make changes we feel are important. While this year's seminar can't happen in person, we're still gathering together online and supporting each other in making Betar the best it can be!

07.01.2022 Today marks the 28th Anniversary of the High Court’s decision in the Mabo case. On this day, which was a turning point in the fight for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ rights, we reflect on how proud we are in the role our community has taken in recognition and reconciliation, and the immense amount of work that is yet to be done. Less than a week ago we affirmed our support for the Uluru Statement from the Heart and committed to continuing to support Aborigina...l and Torres Strait Islander peoples in their fight for a better future. During this time we are proud to see a growing number of people, both in our community and across the world, standing up in the fight for human rights. Around the world, the pursuit of justice for all is not a political action, but a moral one. As Jabotinsky said, In the beginning, God created men. Here Jabotisnky refers to mankind as a whole, to our shared humanity. The treatment of all of humanity as equals is the necessary extension of our ideological principle of Hadar. We proudly stand with those seeking justice, just as we have done since our founding.

01.01.2022 We at Betar Australia acknowledge the plight and suffering of all asylum seekers fleeing persecution. This stance is built upon one of our core values, Hadar, which states that all people are deserving of respect. This act was also informed by the actions of Menachem Begin, former Israeli Prime Minister, whose first act upon becoming Prime Minister was to grant Israeli citizenship to Vietnamese refugees. He thought that such an action was natural for the Jewish State, given that we should remember the lessons from our time as refugees. We believe that advocacy for the humane treatment of asylum seekers and refugees is natural for the same reasons. - Because Silence is Filth
