Our Bush Kindy site is located in a large section of native bush land behind Bethania Lutheran School. Without leaving school grounds, our children experience a holistic and inspirational process that provides opportunities to achieve, develop confidence and self esteem through hands on learning in local natural spaces. 19.01.2022 Miss C decided to make a necklace at Bush Kindy this week. She took a long piece of grass and tied a knot at the end. She then found a leaf with a hole, and threaded it. The next leaf didn't have a hole. Miss C promptly found a stick and made a hole. She continued with the activity for over 15 minutes. What great problem solving skills and a great way to develop fine motor control. This experience was 100% child lead and focused. There was no educator invervention nor provocation. 05.01.2022 This morning the children created a HUGE game of The Floor is Lava requiring shared ideas, co-operation and lots of communication and team work. Midway through the course is a huge jump, a leap of faith. Some children managed this, some were challenged and some showed some great perseverance and kept trying and pushing themselves.
