12.01.2022 I haven't fallen off the planet ;) I have however (like everyone else I'm sure) been on a crazy roller-coaster ride of emotional highs and lows, and extreme highs and lows in the motivation department ;) So, I thought I would check in :) How are you doing?... Are you still working? Have you got a good news story or kindness story to share? What have you been up to? What have your kiddies been up to? Do you have any boredom busting ideas to share? Have you been dressing up to put your bins out? I'm not working, and I miss all my favourite little faces terribly! It was absolutely heartbreaking to realise that after nearly 12 years of hard work, my diary is suddenly empty and I'm not sure how long it will be until things will be back up and running again. Updating your resume after more than 15 years, and applying for any and every job is also a new form of hell. I have however, given myself a serious kick up the bum today (was getting tired of my crappy attitude :P ) and did a huge amount of cleaning around the house - feeling a bit better now :D And, in amongst the crap, there is good stuff too ;) One thing we have been doing regularly, is going for walks around our local area. The Not-so-Short person and I have been trying different routes every couple of days, and averaging 2.6kms each time. One of the highlights of our walks is a series of 3 houses with the most beautiful gardens (regardless of which route we take, we always make sure to pass them ;) ) - we stop for a good looksee every time <3 Another thing that is helping to keep me sane, is keeping in contact with friends and family via phone / messenger video chat - staying connected is important! We have also been having fun in the kitchen - citrus and coconut shortbread just might be a new favourite ;) Oh, and I managed to get some toilet paper too :D Hang in there - This too shall pass :* <3

06.01.2022 Can I declare today "Tickle my funny bone Tuesday"? Because OMGoodness, this really tickled me :D Tears of laughter! His little hands are sooooooo quick! :O ... I've always enjoyed cooking, and also cooking with my children - it was never quite as exciting or messy as this though :D With us spending more time at home, have you been spending time cooking with your kids? Do you have any funny stories to share? Feel free to share your story below :* For me, the most memorable was making peanut butter biscuits with my now 27yo. Tiana with the beaters in hand, beating the dough and making a hell of a mess :P Me - "Tiana, watch what you are doing!" Tiana - looks down at the bowl. The beaters grabbed hold of her fringe, and wound their way up to her hairline splattering the cupboards and everywhere else with peanut butter mixture :O Trying very hard not to laugh (ok, I definitely giggled ;) ) we then spent the next 10 minutes untangling the beaters from her hair and cleaning up the mess. Cooking with children can definitely be an adventure :D No Tiana's were harmed in the making of this story :P

Enquiring minds (mine ) want to know I have always loved big cats - lions, tigers, cheetahs, leopards etc - strength, power and grace all wrapped up in fabulously patterned fur Over the years, I have painted them all. In every colour imaginable, from the more traditional yellow/gold with black stripes, to outrageous sparkly pinks and purples I never tire of the wonderful ideas that the kiddies come up with
