22.01.2022 A3 monstera deliciosa! There is an enormous monstera growing out the back of our house that’s 30 years old and I’ve been taking clippings from it and attempting to propagate some. I have no idea what I’m doing haha but with so much time and so much monstera at my disposal I figured I’d just give it a go! 14.01.2022 EUCALYPT OF THE YEAR Illyarrie, Eucalyptus erythrocorys or the Red-capped Gum - this is such a unique plant! It is not closely related to any other species of eucalypt. Its bright red caps and yellow flowers arranged in four tufts make it instantly recognisable. It can be found growing naturally on the west coast of Australia but has also been planted for decoration in other cities around the country. In second place is Mountain Ash and third place is Lemon-scented gum. 08.01.2022 I’m sorry for the lack of art posts lately. It’s been placed on the back burner as I’ve been back teaching again and spending every other spare moment sewing masks. I’m desperately trying to build up stock as I’ve been inundated with requests and also plan to donate some to my school to sell. All proceeds will go to an orphanage in Zambia which the school is connected to. I also hope to sell some on my own website! So I haven’t gone anywhere and I’m desperate to get back to m...y works in progress. But for now, these masks are more important! 03.01.2022 NEW this is definitely a little different and more ambitious than a lot of my previous paintings and was daunting to begin, but as I worked through it I found familiarity in other images I’ve used in the past; moons, moths, mushrooms, greenery etc. I’ve loved the slow, therapeutic steps in creating this guy! It wasn’t planned out from the beginning but the pieces gradually fell into place as I worked on it over the past week. I really want to take more time in creating an...d not feel like I have to rush and constantly pump out new art! I’m so keen to start some bigger projects!
