21.01.2022 THINGS YOU TAKE FOR GRANTED! I know one: The majesty of Sydney's Circular Quay. I still get a tiny bit awestruck seeing the looming ocean liners, nestled in this deep-water harbour, and the scurrying water taxis, luxury cruisers and ferries darting to and fro. All of this should be enough of an Autumn spectacular, but no; there in the background are the harbour sentinels the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge.

13.01.2022 Still happy after all these years. Our last post was 16 June 2019. A lot of things happened since... A few minor personal issues... the Australian bushfires (colloquially known as the "Black Summer") that began on June 2019 and lasted till May 2020 (with 191,000 hectares (471,971 acres affected) mainly started by a lightning strike)... and now, the pandemic plaque (Coronavirus or COVID-19) interspersed through-out the world. But fear not, Australia is safer compared to other nations around the world. I believe, we have fewer cases and deaths. Our Australian government acted early on and deliberately kept this epidemic contained. Yes, it is still safe to travel within each states. All states have their own restrictions and safety rules. 09.01.2022 OH, THE LIES WE TELL The lie comes in the first eight words: Hi, I just checked out your website and Really? Because the next 24 words prove you didn’t. Maybe some people DO believe that our bed and breakfast is just a pretend business and our real ambition is to become a betting shop. But then again, maybe they’re just ignorant of the power of the apostrophe. Maybe someone should tell them that ‘Bet’s’ is not a wager. It’s a person’s name. Not a spelling mistake. Why the photo of a flower? I bet you don’t know. In fact, I bet you're betting that I don’t know!

And when its orange spongy spores squelch to life in an oozy birth on your garden seat it’swellsqueamishly disconcerting. My poor seat. It’s been colonised by an aggressive microorganism.
