06.01.2022 Just wanted to say a huge thank you to those that came to our event. It was the first betta show ever in South Australia so you should all be stoked to be a part of something new. We are looking into doing another one next year too but hopefully it will be a little more organized haha. Huge thank you to Luke from Marine Plus and Paula and Kelly to Waterworld Home & Garden Supplies for their generous donations for the prizes and all their help and support, all so thank you to Jodi-Lea Matheson from Fish Chick for your support too. Most importantly though thank you to those that entered without you it would never have happened. We look forward to a bigger and betta (haha pun intended) show next year

04.01.2022 We have the following fish for sale that were kindly donated by FishChick Aquatics to be sold at the show. Unfortunately these fish did not find homes. Details on each picture. We would prefer pick up but happy to ship too obviously prices on the photos are for the fish only shipping would be extra.

03.01.2022 Sadly we lost Butter today. We buried him with Chips so he'll forever be with Chips

03.01.2022 Feeling a little defeated at the moment. I hate posting about fish weve lost but we have had an outbreak of a disease called velvet. So far we have lost Picasso and Loki plus all the new fry. We are so heartbroken and just feel like giving up. I hope you all understand if we decide to close down and not breed anymore if we come to that decision. We are trying our best to save what fish we have but as we didnt know what we were dealing with it may not end well. Thank you everyone for your support

02.01.2022 I had a thought tonight as I was feeding our baby crowntails one bloodworm at a time with tweezers that when we buy a fish from our local pet store we dont really think about the person that bred that fish. Granted most come from commercial breeders that have big breeding tanks and multiple fry and breeding pairs etc, but those that come from small time breeders, those breeders spend months looking after the fry to make sure they are kept clean and healthy. They spend an hou...r each day feeding them sometimes they spend a few hours cleaning their tanks or jars. I know for myself I love and care about every one of my fish and babies. Im sure that applies to all fish breeders too. So next time you decide to get a fish from a pet store or even a breeder take the time to think about that person that spent up to and sometimes over 6 months helping that fish grow and thrive. Do a bit of research into how to properly give that fish the best life. In the long run youll have a happy healthy fish for years to come See more
